Tripura ITI Admission 2027 is the online, merit-based admission to trades in the Government ITIs of Tripura, run by the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura. There is no entrance test: merit is based on Class 8 or Class 10 marks. Registration is expected to open around June 2027 on itiadmission.tripura.gov.in.

Is there an entrance exam for Tripura ITI admission 2027?
No. The Directorate of Industries & Commerce fills Government ITI seats on merit. The merit list is generated online from the total percentage of marks in your qualifying exam, and seats are then allotted according to your merit rank and the trade and ITI choices you submit.
There are three common merit lists, one for each entry level: trades that need Class 10 with Mathematics and Science, trades that need Class 10 pass, and trades that need Class 8 pass. Only candidates whose documents were verified at an ITI are placed on the merit list.

Tripura ITI Admission 2027 Important Dates
The 2027 schedule has not been announced yet. In 2026 registration ran from 15 June to 10 July 2026, the merit list came on 16 July and seats were allotted on 23 July 2026, so registration for 2027 is expected around June 2027.

How to Apply for Tripura ITI Admission 2027
You apply online only, on the ITI admission portal itiadmission.tripura.gov.in, once the 2027 registration opens. One registration and one application cover all Government ITIs; a paper form is not accepted.
Apply Online for Tripura ITI 2027
Applications for Tripura ITI 2027 are expected in June 2027.
- Open the portal and choose New Registration. Fill in the form with a valid mobile number, enter the OTP sent to it, and note the registration number that comes by SMS.
- Choose the course level (Class 8 pass or Class 10 pass) and fill in your personal, category and qualifying-exam details, including subject-wise marks.
- Upload a formal photograph, check the preview and make the final submission. Once finally submitted, the application cannot be edited online.
- Fill your trade and ITI choices in order of preference (up to 5) and lock them. Locking is compulsory before document verification.
- Print the registration slip and take it, with your original documents, to the nearest Government ITI for verification within the given dates. You get an SMS once you are verified.
- To apply for a trade at the other entry level as well, use the Other Course option after logging in and repeat the steps.
The 2026 notification lists no application fee. The only charge it mentions is caution money, paid in cash when you take admission.

How to Check the Tripura ITI Merit List and Seat Allotment
Tripura does not publish separate 1st, 2nd and 3rd merit lists. It publishes one common merit list for each entry level, and your seat allotment is shown after you log in. In 2026 the lists ranked 4,656 candidates for Class 10 trades, 4,488 for trades needing Maths and Science, and 226 for Class 8 trades.
- Open itiadmission.tripura.gov.in and go to Candidate Login.
- Enter your registration number, password and the captcha text, then log in.
- Click Merit & Allotment Status to see your common merit rank for each course you applied for.
- After the seat allotment date, the same page shows the ITI and trade allotted to you. Print the allotment letter and the prescribed formats from there.
- PwD candidates are allotted seats offline; their allotment list is published in the News & Events section of the portal.

Tripura does not publish trade-wise closing ranks or cut-off marks, so there is no official cut off to compare against. Your chance depends on your merit rank, your choices and the seats in each trade.
What to Do After Getting a Seat in a Tripura ITI
Go to the allotted ITI within the admission dates with your allotment letter and original documents; your admission is confirmed only after you submit the items below. In 2026 admissions ran from 24 to 31 July 2026, and classes began on 10 August 2026.
- 2 passport-size photographs
- Self-attested copies of Aadhaar and ration card
- Self-attested copies of the mark sheet and certificate of the qualifying exam
- Self-attested copies of the caste certificate and permanent resident certificate
- Self-attested copy of bank account details
- Undertaking and medical fitness certificate in the prescribed formats
- Caution money of Rs 1,000 in cash
If seats remain vacant after round 1, a further round of online allotment may be held; in 2026 round 2 was listed as subject to vacancy, to be notified later. Admitted trainees can get a stipend at the rates set by the Government.
Who can apply for Tripura ITI admission 2027?
You can apply if you have passed Class 8 or Class 10 from a school or board recognised by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education and are at least 14 years old on the date of your online application. The minimum qualification for each trade follows the NCVT guidelines; some trades need Class 10 with Mathematics and Science.
Candidates with a benchmark disability should check the trade eligibility list under the RPwD Act, 2016, posted in News & Events, before choosing trades. Take these originals for verification at the ITI:
- Mark sheet and certificate of the qualifying exam
- Date of birth certificate and Madhyamik admit card
- Caste certificate and permanent resident certificate
- PwD certificate or ex-serviceman certificate, if applicable
If something in your application is wrong, the grievance desk at the verifying ITI can correct it. After document verification no changes are allowed.

In August 2026 a separate notice added the new Govt ITI Pecharthal in Unakoti district, with two SCVT trades open to Madhyamik (Class 10) pass candidates: Stenographer and Secretarial Assistant (English), 1 year, and Smartphone Technician cum App Tester, 6 months, each with 20 seats.
Boys’ hostels are available at 12 Government ITIs, with 314 beds in all for the 2026 session, including 40 each at L.T. Valley and Dharmanagar. The hostel list is posted in the News & Events section of the portal.
