UKSEE 2027 is not expected to be held as a test. Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun, now fills B.Tech, B.Pharm, BHMCT, BCA, BBA, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharm and lateral entry seats through merit-based online counselling. B.Tech uses JEE Main rank first, then Class 12 marks. The 2027-28 counselling is expected to start in May 2027.

This page explains how admission to UTU’s technical courses works now that UKSEE is not held: dates, how to apply, eligibility, merit rules and counselling rounds.

Is UKSEE 2027 being held?
No written UKSEE is expected. For the 2026-27 session, UTU admitted students without any entrance test, through merit-based online counselling, and its admission brochure gives merit rules only. The 2027-28 rules will be confirmed in the next brochure, expected around May 2027.
This means there is no UKSEE syllabus, admit card, answer key or result to wait for. Your rank depends on your JEE Main rank (for B.Tech) or on your qualifying exam marks.

How to Apply for UKSEE 2027 (UTU Counselling)
You apply by registering on UTU’s online counselling portal once the 2027-28 notification is out. The same portal handles the counselling fee, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting. You submit a separate application for each course.
Apply Online for UKSEE 2027
The UKSEE 2027 application dates have not been announced yet.
- Open the counselling portal from uktech.ac.in when 2027-28 registration starts, and create your login ID and password.
- Fill in your details and qualifying exam marks. If you took JEE Main, link your DigiLocker account (it was mandatory for JEE Main candidates in 2026).
- Upload a recent photograph and pay the non-refundable counselling fee online.
- Fill your choices of institute and branch in order of preference, save them and submit. No changes are allowed after final submission.
- Check the seat allotment and choose Freeze, Float or Withdraw within the given window.
- If you freeze a seat, pay the advance admission fee and report online or at the institute by the reporting date.

Tuition fees are not paid to UTU. They are fixed by the state fee regulatory body and differ by institute, so check the fee on the allotted institute’s website.
Who can apply for UTU admission in 2027?
Eligibility depends on the course. These are the minimum marks in the 2026-27 brochure; the relaxed figure in brackets is for reserved categories.

Uttarakhand quota seats need an Uttarakhand domicile certificate at counselling, even if you passed your qualifying exam in another state. For second-year (lateral entry) seats, candidates with a diploma from Uttarakhand or an Uttarakhand domicile can take part.
How is the UKSEE 2027 merit list prepared?
Merit comes from scores you already have, not from a UTU test. Under the 2026-27 brochure, B.Tech seats were first filled on JEE Main and Class 12 merit for two rounds, and all other courses used marks in the qualifying exam.

If your final qualifying result is not out by counselling, UTU may give provisional admission, which stands only if you submit the result by the admission date.
How does UTU counselling work after registration?
Seats are filled in three online phases, then online spot rounds and institution-level counselling. The 2026-27 schedule shows the usual order:

After each allotment you pick Freeze (accept the seat), Float (hold the seat and try for a higher choice next round) or Withdraw (leave counselling). Candidates with no seat can refill choices for the next round without a new counselling fee. With Freeze you also choose online reporting, by uploading self-attested documents, or offline reporting at the institute; this choice cannot be changed later.
Which colleges and courses are covered by UTU counselling?
UTU runs single-window counselling for its university campus, government, autonomous and private affiliated colleges, and the College of Technology, GBPUAT Pantnagar. Admissions granted directly by an institute outside this process are not valid for enrolment.
