The UPRTOU B.Ed syllabus 2027 has two sections. Section 1 tests General Mental Ability and General Awareness. Section 2 tests Teaching Aptitude (for B.Ed SE, the psychology and problems of disabled children) and two teaching subjects of your choice. Each section has 100 objective questions in a 3-hour paper.

What is in Section 1 of the UPRTOU B.Ed syllabus?
Section 1 is common to B.Ed and B.Ed SE and carries General Mental Ability (50%) and General Awareness (50%).
- General Mental Ability: inductive and deductive reasoning, problem solving, verbal ability and numerical ability (for example, coding-decoding).
- General Awareness: general knowledge expected of a graduate in history, science, politics, literature, culture, education, society, economics, business, geography and environment.
What is in Section 2 for B.Ed and B.Ed SE?
Section 2 differs by programme. Both versions give 40% to the core part and 30% to each of two teaching subjects.

What is the UPRTOU B.Ed 2027 exam pattern?
The exam is a single 3-hour offline paper of 200 objective questions, 100 in each section.
- Answers are marked on an OMR sheet with a black or blue ballpoint pen, filling one circle (A, B, C or D) fully.
- You must be seated 20 minutes before the start. No one is let in 30 minutes after the start.
- The brochure does not state marks per question or negative marking.

How to Prepare for UPRTOU B.Ed 2027
- Practise reasoning daily: series, coding-decoding, analogies and basic arithmetic.
- Read a newspaper and revise static GK on history, geography, polity, science and education.
- For Teaching Aptitude, study classroom roles of a teacher, motivation, learning and evaluation.
- Choose your two teaching subjects early and revise them from Class 9 and 10 NCERT books.
- Take timed mock papers of 200 questions to build speed for the 3-hour paper.
