HNBUMU has not announced the 2027 schedule yet. In 2026 the form was open from 15 May to 5 June and the exams were held on 13 and 14 June, so the months below are expected for 2027.

How to Apply for Uttarakhand ANM GNM 2027
You apply online only, through the nursing entrance link on hnbumu.ac.in, once the 2027 brochure is out (expected in May 2027). In 2026 the form was filled on the emsecure.in portal. You can apply for ANM, GNM or both, and you pay a separate fee for each course.
Apply Online for Uttarakhand ANM GNM 2027
Applications for Uttarakhand ANM GNM 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Open hnbumu.ac.in and click the ANM/GNM nursing entrance 2027 application link.
- Register with your mobile number and email ID, and note your login details. You need them for the admit card, result and counselling.
- Fill in your personal, category and Class 10 and 12 details, and the details of a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, voter ID, PAN, driving licence or a photo ID issued by your last school principal).
- Choose the course: ANM, GNM or both. If you choose both, select the same exam centre for both papers.
- Pick at least three exam centres in order of preference. You cannot change the centre later.
- Upload your photo, signature and the documents asked for, then pay the fee online.
- Print the completed form and keep it. Quote your application number in all letters to HNBUMU.

The fee is not refunded in any case. To correct your form you submit a fresh one during the registration window for Rs 200 each time, and the earlier form is cancelled. Category or sub-category cannot be changed after you apply.
Who can apply for Uttarakhand ANM GNM 2027?
You can apply if you are an Indian citizen, medically fit, at least 17 years old on 31 December of the admission year, and have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. These are the 2026 rules; the 2027 brochure will confirm them.
- ANM: only female candidates can apply. Class 12 in arts, science or the Health Care Science vocational stream from a recognised board is needed. Class 12 from NIOS in arts or science is also accepted.
- GNM: both men and women can apply, but men can get at most 20% of the seats. You need Class 12 with English and at least 40% marks (in science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in arts, or in the Health Care Science vocational stream). Class 12 vocational ANM with 40% from an INC-recognised school, and Class 12 from NIOS or the Uttarakhand state open school with 40%, are also accepted.
- SC and ST candidates get 5% relaxation in the 40% needed for GNM.
- State quota seats: you must have passed both Class 10 and Class 12 in Uttarakhand, or be an Uttarakhand domicile. Non-domicile candidates who studied in Uttarakhand can sit the exam but cannot claim reserved seats.
- Reservation benefits are given only to Uttarakhand domicile candidates with certificates issued by the state government.
- If you are appearing in Class 12 this year you can take the exam, but you must have passed before counselling.
What is the Uttarakhand ANM GNM 2027 exam pattern?
ANM and GNM have separate papers of 100 objective questions each, worth 1 mark per question, to be finished in 2 hours. There is no negative marking, and the paper is set in both Hindi and English. The full topic guide is on the Uttarakhand ANM GNM syllabus page.

- The exam is offline: you mark answers on an OMR sheet with a black ballpoint pen that the university provides.
- Each question has four options with one correct answer. A wrong, blank or multiple-marked answer gets zero.
- ANM and GNM have separate merit lists.
- Uttarakhand ASHA workers who have passed Class 12 get a 15% weightage added to their entrance marks.
