Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2026 Important Dates
BFUHS published the full Round 1 schedule in its Session 2026 prospectus: apply online from 14 to 18 October 2026, the provisional merit list is due on 21 October and Round 1 seats will be allotted on 2 November 2026. Later rounds follow the national MCC schedule for state counselling.

Which PG medical seats are filled through Punjab NEET PG counselling?
BFUHS fills the 50% state quota seats of Punjab’s government medical colleges and the government, management, NRI and minority quota seats of private colleges. The other 50% of government college seats are All India Quota seats, filled through MCC NEET PG counselling. Within the state quota, seats are split into Institutional Preference (IP), SC, BC, EWS and PwBD categories as per Punjab Government rules. The seat list is tentative; BFUHS shows the final seat matrix at the time of choice filling.
How to apply for Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You apply online only, on the BFUHS admission portal, from 14 to 18 October 2026. Forms sent by post, courier, e-mail or by hand are not accepted, and you may submit only one application.
Apply Online for Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2026
The Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2026 application window (14 to 18 October 2026) has closed. Round 1 provisional allotment on 2 Nov 2026; objections in person at BFUHS on 3 Nov (till 5:00 PM); reporting and six-month fee deposit 5 to 10 Nov.
- Read the Session 2026 prospectus and the Punjab Government notifications in it.
- Open the BFUHS NEET PG 2026 application portal and click New Registration. Your Registration ID (Login ID) is generated, and the password is sent to your mobile number and/or e-mail.
- Log in and fill in the form. Select every category code that applies to you: 11 Open, 12 SC, 13 BC, 14 PwBD, 15 EWS. A category cannot be added or changed after the last date.
- Upload a recent colour photograph and your signature, each up to 30 KB.
- Pay the application fee through the BFUHS payment gateway by 19 October 2026, 5:00 PM, and keep a printout of the form and the payment receipt.
- PCMS in-service, NRI and Sikh or Christian minority candidates must also complete their extra document or verification step by 19 October 2026, 5:00 PM.

How to log in to the Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2026 application portal?
You use the BFUHS candidate login to fill and submit the form, pay the application fee, download the provisional allotment letter and pay the six-month tuition fee after allotment.
- Open the official login page for MD/MS/Diploma/DNB under NEET PG 2026.
- If you are new, click New Registration first to get your Registration Number.
- Enter your Registration Number and the password sent to you by SMS or e-mail.
- After logging in, complete your form, pay the fee and later download your allotment letter or pay your fee from the same account.

Who can apply for Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You can apply if you have qualified NEET PG 2026 and meet the eligibility rules in the Punjab Government notifications printed in the prospectus.
- Qualified in NEET PG 2026 as per the NBEMS qualifying criteria.
- MBBS degree recognised by the competent statutory authority, with the compulsory rotating internship completed within the prescribed period.
- Permanent or provisional registration with a State Medical Council or the national medical council.
- SC, BC and EWS reservation needs a certificate issued by the Government of Punjab; EWS certificates from other states or UTs are not accepted.
- PwBD candidates need a certificate from a designated disability assessment centre or the State Medical Assessment Board at GGS Medical College, Faridkot.
- Sikh and Christian minority quota claims are verified by SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Amritsar, and CMC Ludhiana respectively.
- NRI quota candidates must first get an Eligibility Certificate from BFUHS, with proof such as a foreign passport, green card, permanent resident card or OCI/PIO card.
How do the BFUHS merit list and seat allotment rounds work?
Seats are allotted online on NEET PG 2026 merit, with incentive marks added for eligible in-service (PCMS) doctors, and then you report in person at the allotted college.
- BFUHS displays a category-wise provisional merit list. Objections are taken only in person at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, and a revised list follows.
- You fill choices of course, specialty and college online. Choices cannot be changed after the choice-filling window closes.
- Reserved category candidates with marks at or above the Open category qualifying marks are first considered for Open seats.
- After allotment you pay the six-month fee through your candidate login, then report to the college with original documents. If you do not pay or report in time, the seat is cancelled.
- Free exit is allowed only in Round 1. For Round 2 and later rounds you must submit willingness online and pay a security deposit.
- A candidate who joins a seat allotted in Round 3 cannot resign and cannot take part in any further round.

What fee do you pay after a seat is allotted?
You deposit six months’ tuition fee (the first instalment for NRI seats) online before reporting. These are the Session 2026 amounts in the prospectus.

What documents are needed when you report to the allotted college?
Carry the originals and one set of self-attested copies of these documents when you report.
- Government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, driving licence or PAN card) and the tuition fee receipt.
- NEET PG 2026 admit card and result/rank card.
- Matriculation certificate or birth certificate as proof of date of birth.
- Marks sheets of all MBBS professional exams and the MBBS degree or provisional degree certificate.
- Internship completion certificate and State Medical Council registration certificate.
- SC, BC, EWS or disability certificate, if you claim a reserved seat.
- Provisional NOC and the Annexure-B undertaking, if you are an in-service candidate.
