- Midwifery and Gynaecological Nursing: foetal development, care in pregnancy, labour and the puerperium, high-risk pregnancy and labour, obstetric emergencies and operations, drugs in obstetrics, infertility and gynaecological disorders.
- Child Health Nursing: newborn care, breastfeeding, growth and development, immunisation, nutrition, congenital defects, common childhood diseases and children’s welfare programmes.
- Administration and Ward Management: principles of administration, ward and health centre management, staff and supply management, records and reports, and professional nursing organisations such as TNAI, INC and WHO.
