How to Check the CMC Vellore PG Nursing 2027 Result
- Open the CMC results page on the scheduled date.
- Choose the list for your programme. In 2026 they were titled “M.Sc.N. Final Selection Result 2026”, “Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Final Selection Result 2026” and “Post Basic Diploma in Nursing Final Selection Result 2026”.
- Look for your application number in the list.
- Check your email too: CMC informs candidates shortlisted for Step II by email.
- If shortlisted, note your Step II dates and the original documents to bring.
What does the CMC Vellore PG Nursing result show?
CMC publishes lists of shortlisted and selected candidates. The bulletin does not describe an individual scorecard or rank card, so you see whether you are on the list rather than your marks. Being called for Step II does not mean selection or that your eligibility has been accepted.
CMC has not published any official cut-off marks for PG nursing, so this page shows no cut-off table.
What happens at CMC Vellore PG Nursing Step II?
Step II runs over two days at the College of Nursing, Vellore, and you report at 7:30 AM on both days. In 2026 it was held on 22 to 24 June for M.Sc. Nursing and 24 and 25 June for the other programmes.
- Day one: registration and medical check-up. Day two: personal interview.
- M.Sc. and Post Basic B.Sc. candidates also take practical tests of knowledge and skills.
- Bring a chest X-ray taken within the last 3 months with your name and date on the film (not needed if you are or may be pregnant).
- Bring original certificates: nursing certificates, council registrations and NUID, mark lists, transcript, transfer and course completion certificates, experience certificates, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, and a no objection certificate from your employer. Without the originals you are not registered for Step II.
How are the CMC Vellore PG Nursing final list and waitlist made?
The final list ranks candidates on Step I and Step II together, with weightage for documented service in areas of need.
- A waitlist is drawn for each programme, and for each M.Sc. speciality.
- Each waitlist is a single merit list, with Minority Network candidates marked by an asterisk.
- A seat left by an Open candidate goes to the next Minority Network or Open candidate in merit order; a seat left by a Minority Network candidate goes to another Minority Network candidate.
- Waitlisted candidates get a provisional offer by email and must accept in writing by the stated deadline, or the seat moves on.
- If M.Sc. seats stay vacant, a supplementary selection may be held for candidates who cleared Step I with the General paper.
What happens after the CMC Vellore PG Nursing 2027 result?
- Accept the offered seat in writing within the time given, or it goes to the waitlist.
- Report at the College of Nursing at 8:00 AM on the registration date with original documents. In 2026 this was 3 August for diploma and fellowship courses and 15 September for M.Sc. and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- M.Sc. and Post Basic B.Sc. students must submit an eligibility certificate from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University at registration; without it the seat is forfeited.
- Nurses from other states should apply for Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council registration soon after the result, as it can take a few months.
- Hepatitis B and COVID-19 vaccination certificates are needed for all students.
