CU-CET 2027 (Calicut University Centralized Entrance Test, often searched as CUCAT) is the University of Calicut’s entrance test for PG, five-year Integrated PG, MCA, MSW, LLM, BPEd, MPEd and BPES admissions for 2027-28. The 2027 notification is not out yet. Going by 2026, registration should open in March 2027 and the test should be held in May 2027.

CU-CET 2027 Important Dates
The University of Calicut has not announced the CU-CET 2027 schedule, so the 2027 dates below are expected months based on 2026. In 2026, registration ran from 23 March to 16 April 2026 and the test was held on 14, 15 and 16 May 2026.

How to Apply for CU-CET 2027
You apply online only, through the registration link on admission.uoc.ac.in, which opens the CU-CET candidate portal. One application covers up to six programmes. Do not post the printout or any documents to the University; keep them for admission.
Apply Online for CU-CET 2027
Applications for CU-CET 2027 are expected in March 2027.
- Open the CU-CET registration link on admission.uoc.ac.in once 2027 registration starts.
- Enter your name as on your qualifying certificate, choose the programme category, give your email ID and a mobile number (yours or a parent’s) and verify it with the OTP.
- Log in with the CAP ID and password (security key) sent to that mobile number.
- Upload a recent photo (white background, your name and the date shown on it, JPG under 40 KB, 200 x 250 pixels) and fill in your personal, reservation and academic details. If your result is awaited, enter the marks as 0.
- Choose up to six programmes (one per test session) and up to 10 departments, centres or colleges.
- Pay the fee online, then choose your exam centre. You cannot pick a centre until the payment succeeds.
- Download the application printout. Your application is complete only when the printout shows an approved stamp on your photo.

These are the 2026 fees. You pay through the University’s online payment system, SBI online, Friends Janasevana Kendram or Akshaya centres, and the fee is not refunded. After you submit, a one-time edit is allowed, but it clears your programme, college and centre choices, so you must fill them in again and take a new printout. Sending more than one application can cancel your candidature.
Which programmes does CU-CET 2027 cover?
CU-CET fills seats in entrance-based programmes at the University’s teaching departments, its self-financing centres and some affiliated colleges. The 2026 list was:

A test is held for a programme only when applications are more than four times its seats; otherwise the rank list is made from qualifying-exam marks by the University’s indexing formula. Open All India quota and Lakshadweep quota applicants do not take the test.
Who can apply for CU-CET 2027?
Eligibility is set programme by programme in the prospectus. For most PG programmes you need a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least 45% or 50% marks, depending on the programme.
- Final-year students can apply, but must show the final mark list and provisional certificate at admission. Marks are not rounded up to reach the minimum.
- SEBC and OEC candidates get up to 5% relaxation in qualifying marks; SC, ST and PwD candidates need only a pass.
- Integrated PG programmes are taken after higher secondary (Class 12); each has its own subject requirement.
- BPEd (2 years) needs any bachelor’s degree and an age below 24 years on 1 July; BPES (Integrated) needs Class 12 and an age below 22 years. SC/ST candidates get 5 years of age relaxation and SEBC/OEC candidates 3 years (2026 rules).
- Candidates who studied at another university may need an equivalency or recognition certificate from the University of Calicut.

What is the CU-CET 2027 exam pattern?
Each programme has its own test, held offline on OMR sheets. Tests are grouped into six sessions over three days, forenoon and afternoon, and you can take only one programme per session.

How are CU-CET rank lists made?
For most programmes the rank list is based on entrance marks alone. Some programmes add an interview, aptitude test, physical test or workshop run by the department before the list is finalised; several Integrated MA programmes, for example, use a 70-mark written test and a 30-mark interview.
All seats, including management quota and community quota seats in affiliated colleges, are filled only from the University’s rank list, so every applicant must register and take the test. Seats are reserved for SEBC, SC, ST, EWS and other groups as set out in the prospectus.
