How is the GITAM GAT 2021 Result Prepared?
There are 3 things in the result of GITAM GAT 2021:
- Raw marks
- Rank
- Merit list
Raw marks: First the raw marks in the exam are calculated based on the performance of the candidates. To calculate the raw marks the marking scheme of the exam for the respective course is used. There is no negative marking in the exam, the score will be the number of correct answers marked by the students.
Rank: Based on the raw marks in the exam rank is given to the students. More is the marks higher is the rank.
Merit list: Based on the ranks, the merit list is made for each course. Based on merit position candidates are allotted seats via a counselling process.
- The merit position of the candidates for admission will be based on the rank in GAT 2021.
- A candidate qualified in GAT – 2021 will be eligible for admission only if they fulfill the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as per the eligibility criteria.
- 25% of seats are reserved for meritorious students from Karnataka State for admission at Bengaluru Campus.
