GITAM GAT 2027 (GITAM Admission Test) is the entrance test of GITAM Deemed to be University for UG and PG admission at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru campuses. It runs in several phases. Registration for the 2027-28 intake is expected from November 2026, with Phase 1 expected in December 2026.

When is GITAM GAT 2027?
GAT 2027 dates are not announced yet. In the 2026 cycle, registration opened on 28 November 2025, Phase 1 was held on 13 December 2025 and further phases ran until July 2026, so the expected months below follow that pattern.

How to Apply for GITAM GAT 2027
You apply online on the GITAM application portal and choose your programme there. The steps below follow the 2026 process.
Apply Online for GITAM GAT 2027
Applications for GITAM GAT 2027 are expected in November 2026.
- Open the GITAM application portal once GAT 2027 registration opens.
- Register with your name, mobile number, email ID, a password and the programme you want.
- Note the application number and password you receive, then log in.
- Fill in your personal and academic details in the GAT form.
- Upload a colour passport-size photo (JPEG, up to 50 KB) and the documents the form asks for.
- Pay the application fee online, submit the form and keep a printout.

Who can apply for GITAM GAT 2027 B.Tech?
For B.Tech, you need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and at least 60% aggregate, as per the rules reported for the 2025 and 2026 cycles.
- Indian national.
- Class 12 passed in 2026, or appearing in 2027.
- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Classes 11 and 12.
- At least 60% aggregate or 6 CGPA in the qualifying exam; 55% for CBSE and ICSE students.
Other programmes, such as architecture, pharmacy, nursing, law, management and sciences, have their own criteria. Check the programme page on the GITAM website before you apply.
What is the GITAM GAT 2027 exam pattern?
GAT is an online objective test. For B.Tech it has 100 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks, with no negative marking.

The section split is from the 2026 cycle. For other programmes, the paper tests course-specific subjects, such as commerce and economics for BBA and B.Com, along with quantitative aptitude, analytical reasoning and verbal ability.
Is there an interview in GITAM GAT?
Some sessions include one. News reports on the May 2025 and 26 July 2026 sessions say the test, a personal interview and the result were all on the same day. Check your phase details on the portal to see if an interview applies to your programme.
