IGRUA Admission 2018 will be held by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi, a flying training institution in the country which trains the personnel to become a commercial pilot. The Akademi conducts IGRUA examination every year to select the eligible candidates for the course of CPL (Commercial Pilot License). The admission to the course is given on the basis of Online Written Test followed by the interview round and the Pilot Aptitude Test/ Psychometric Test. IGRUA Admission 2018

There is tentatively 150 number of seats in the course which are distributed in the categories. The expected dates for IGRUA Entrance Exam 2018 including the registration dates, availability of admit card, commencement of the Interview and Pilot Aptitude Test and expected dates for the final result are mentioned below in the table:

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are willing to apply for the IGRUA Entrance Exam 2018, must be eligible to do the same. The  Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi has set the eligibility norms in terms of age and Educational Qualifications. The eligibility conditions are as follows:

Age Factor- The candidates must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of joining.

Educational Qualifications- The educational qualifications are decided as per the category of the candidate which is given below in the table:

General Candidates Must have Passed English at 10+2 level (class 12th) with Minimum 55% Aggregate Marks in Maths & Physics
SC / ST / OBC Candidates Must have Passed English at 10+2 level (class 12th) with Minimum 50% Aggregate Marks in Maths & Physics

Important Note- If in case the candidates belonging to reserved categories (ST/SC/OBC) do not qualify even after the 5% aggregate relaxation in the Online Written test then the seats would be de- reserved for General Category.

Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for the course include the Online Written Examination (Computer Based Test)  followed by the Interview round and the Pilot Aptitude Test. To take the admission in the course of CPL (Commercial Pilot License), candidates have to clear every stage of examination.   The applicants who will qualify the Online written Test will be called for the Interview session. After that, the selected candidates will have to appear for the Pilot Aptitude Test. The final selection will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the Aptitude Test. Exam Pattern for Online Written Test, Viva/Interview, and Pilot Aptitude Test.

The exam pattern for all the stages of selection are discussed below:

Online Written Examination

The online written test will be conducted in the prescribed centers as allotted to the candidates. It will be conducted in the following pattern:

Paper One Paper of 2 hr duration
Subjects General English, Maths, Physics and Reasoning (10+2 standard)
Qualifying Mark The cutoff marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be 5% less from the cut off marks secured by the last candidate in the General category.

Interview / Viva Voce

The candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview round on the basis of their performance in the Online Written examination. In the interview session, the documents of the candidates will be verified. Therefore candidates must bring the documents that are listed below:

  • Class 10th certificate for the age proof
  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheet
  • Category certificate, if belonging to reserved category (ST/SC/OBC)
  • A Certificate from the Competent Authority that the OBC Candidate does not belong to Creamy layer.
  • Admit Card Downloaded for Written Test

Pilot Aptitude Test / Psychometric Test

The candidates whose documents will be verified and checked and who will qualify the interview round will be eligible to appear in the Pilot Aptitude Test/ Psychometric Test. This test will apparently be held in the 2nd week of Apr 2018. In this test, no relaxation criteria will be applicable to the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidate.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment

The candidates have to pay the application fee as decided by the institute. It should be paid through the said modes. The category wise application fee along with the mode of payment is given below in the table:

Instructions to fill the Application Form of IGRUA Entrance Exam 2018

The IGRUA 2018 Application form shall be released in the 1st week of Feb 2018. The application form will be filled in the multiple stages as registration, filling the personal details, educational qualifications uploading the scanned documents and paying the application fee. The candidates should read the instructions to fill the application form.

  • To fill and submit the application form, candidates need to visit the official website of IGRUA or click on the link that is mentioned above in the article.
  • Click on the “Registration for New User” and fill all the relevant information such as  Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, and Mobile Number.
  • After that, a User Name and Password will be generated by the system. The User ID will be sent to the candidate’s registered Email Id and password on the registered mobile number.
  • Now enter the User ID and password to fill the application form. Add all the necessary details such as Personal Details and  Educational Qualifications in the provided spaces.
  • Upload the scanned image of photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format with maximum 80kb file size.
  • The last step is to pay the application fee by using Debit/ Credit Card or through e- challan from SBI bank.

IGRUA 2018 Admit Card

The admit card for IGRUA 2018 will be made available 1st week of Mar 2018. The candidates who will successfully register themselves will be able to download the admit card from the official website of IGRUA at igrua.gov.in Candidates need to enter the login credentials to obtain the admit card. The admit card shall contain the Date, Time and Center of the examination. Candidates must take a printout of it and should bring it to the examination center. The candidates will not be allowed to appear in the Online Written Test without the valid admit card.

Declaration of Result

The final result of the IGRUA Entrance Exam 2018 shall be announced in the 4th week of Apr 2018. The final result will be prepared after examining the Pilot Aptitude Test / Psychometric Test. To download the result, candidates need to visit the office of IGRUA at  igrua.gov.in After visiting the website enter the login credentials as User Id and password and download the result. Commitment Money:-  The candidates who will finally be selected for the course including SC / ST / OBC will be required to pay commitment money of Rs. 2 Lacs (non-refundable but adjustable against the total fee) after the declaration of the result to secure the seat in course of CPL (Commercial Pilot License). The payment should be done before the last date of submission as prescribed by the concerned Authority.
