IIIT Hyderabad announces results programme-wise and round by round on the portal. It does not publish a public rank list.
How do M.Tech seat allocation rounds work?
M.Tech seats are offered on the written test result in several rounds, and you must accept an offer by the deadline given with it. In 2026 the rounds ran as below.

To accept a seat in 2026 you paid Rs 2,60,000 online: a non-refundable admission fee of Rs 10,000 and one semester’s tuition of Rs 2,50,000. M.Tech tuition for 2026-27 was Rs 5,00,000 a year, with hostel and mess extra at about Rs 50,000 a semester. Allocation is final after the last round, with no upgrades.
What happens after the result for MS and Ph.D applicants?
Shortlisted research applicants attend a subject interview on the Hyderabad campus, and the final offer depends only on the interview. The 2026 order of events was:

Full-time Ph.D students received a monthly stipend of Rs 31,000 to Rs 35,000 in 2026-27, or Rs 37,000 to Rs 42,000 for NET/GATE-qualified students through the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship. For 2027, results are expected in May and interviews in June; see the IIITH PGEE 2027 page for expected dates.
