J&K NEET PG Counselling 2026: Registration, Merit List, Dates

J&K NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the admission process for 50% UT quota MD, MS and PG Diploma seats in Jammu and Kashmir, run by J&K BOPEE for domicile candidates of J&K and Ladakh. There is no separate exam: merit comes from NEET PG 2026 scores. Registration closed on 17 October 2026 (extended). The Provisional Merit List was released on 22 October 2026, and online choice filling runs from 28 to 30 October 2026.

J&K NEET PG Counselling 2026 Important Dates

Registration ran from 14 to 17 October 2026 (extended). BOPEE has notified online choice filling from 28 to 30 October 2026. It has not notified later round dates, so the other round windows below are the UT quota windows in MCC’s national NEET PG 2026 schedule.

Which seats are filled through J&K NEET PG counselling?

J&K BOPEE fills the 50% UT quota MD, MS and PG Diploma seats of the Union Territory’s medical colleges, for domicile candidates of J&K and Ladakh. The other 50% are All India Quota seats, filled through MCC NEET PG counselling, so you can register for both.

• SKIMS Srinagar
• ASCOMS Jammu (private), including its Hindu Minority (HM) and NRI seats

The 2026 seat matrix has not been published yet. BOPEE says it will be available before choice filling starts on 28 October 2026.

How to register for J&K NEET PG Counselling 2026?

You register online on the BOPEE website and upload your documents. The 2026 window ran from 14 October (11:00 AM) to 17 October 2026 (midnight, extended) and is now closed. Only registered candidates with complete uploads are placed in the Provisional Merit List and considered for any seat.

1. Open the J&K BOPEE website and the NEET-PG 2026 (MD/MS/PGD) registration link.
2. Enter your NEET PG 2026 roll number (as on the admit card), score, NEET rank, date of birth and category exactly as in your NEET PG application form.
3. Upload the required documents, including the NEET PG 2026 scorecard, domicile certificate and MBBS degree.
4. Submit the registration by midnight on 17 October 2026 (extended). Late or incomplete registrations are not considered.
5. Check the Provisional Merit List (released 22 October 2026). If your details are wrong, give your objection in person at the BOPEE office in Jammu or Srinagar by 4:00 PM on 24 October 2026.
6. Pay the online counselling fee, then fill and lock your choices between 11:30 AM on 28 October and midnight on 30 October 2026. Then check the provisional selection list.

Notification 245-BOPEE confirms the Rs 2,000 fee for 2026. In 2025, candidates who did not pay the counselling fee online were not considered for allotment.

Which documents do you need to upload?

Notification 228-BOPEE lists these uploads; the validity of category certificates is judged on 16 October 2026:

• MBBS degree certificate and registration with the State/UT Medical Council or MCI/NMC
• Internship completion certificate (completed up to 30 September 2026)
• Domicile certificate of J&K or Ladakh (for Ladakh, the ST certificate counts as domicile)
• NEET PG 2026 scorecard
• Reserved category, EWS and Difficult Area certificates, where they apply
• NMC/MCI clearance for MBBS degrees from outside India
• NOC from the competent authority for in-service candidates
• For Ladakh candidates, a compulsory service bond undertaking (form on the BOPEE website)

Candidates opting for HM seats at ASCOMS also upload a Hindu Minority certificate, and NRI-seat candidates upload the documents in Annexure B of the notification.

Who can apply for J&K NEET PG Counselling 2026?

You can apply if you are a domicile of J&K or Ladakh, hold an MBBS degree with council registration, completed internship by 30 September 2026 and qualified NEET PG 2026 at these cut-offs:

In-service candidates may take part provisionally but can join only after producing the NOC within the Board’s dates.

How is the J&K NEET PG merit list prepared?

BOPEE ranks registered candidates on their NEET PG score, adds Difficult Area marks for eligible in-service doctors (SRO 48 of 2018) and gives each a UT rank. Objections to the Provisional Merit List are taken before choice filling. In 2026 the list was released on 22 October, and objections closed at 4:00 PM on 24 October.

How do the J&K NEET PG counselling rounds work?

Seats are allotted on merit and your locked choices in online rounds, followed by physical mop-up and stray rounds for seats left vacant. In 2025 there were three online rounds, a mop-up round and two stray rounds, ending in February 2026.

• After each round BOPEE issues a provisional selection list; representations are allowed for a short window by e-mail.
• Selected candidates report to the allotted college with original documents by the joining date, or the seat goes to the next round.
• A candidate who joins in Round 1 can still opt for upgradation in Round 2 by filling fresh preferences.
• HM and NRI seats at ASCOMS are filled through separate counselling that BOPEE notifies.
• Candidates who leave a seat after the NMC’s last date for resignation are barred from MD/MS/PGD counselling for the next three years (2025 rules).

What is the expected J&K NEET PG 2026 cut off?

The table shows the last UT rank allotted an Open Merit seat in Round 1 of 2025, worked out from BOPEE’s official provisional selection list (Notification 183-BOPEE, 26 November 2025); later rounds changed some allotments.
