JK Paramedical / ANM GNM 2026 is the state-level entrance examination conducted by JKBOPEE (Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations) for admission to diploma programmes in paramedical, ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife), and GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) courses across government and private institutes in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. JKBOPEE released the official notifications for the 2026 admission cycle at jkbopee.gov.in. The paramedical (12th-based) CET was conducted on 18 April 2026, and the GNM/ANM CET was held on 17 May 2026. Application windows have closed; counselling is the next step.

Courses Offered Through JK Paramedical / ANM GNM 2026

JKBOPEE conducts entrance tests for two broad groups of programmes. The paramedical track covers 12th-based diploma courses in allied health sciences, while the nursing track covers ANM and GNM diplomas. Seats are available at both government and private institutes in J&K and Ladakh.

  • GNM — General Nursing and Midwifery (3-year diploma)

Eligibility Criteria

JKBOPEE sets specific eligibility criteria for each course category. The candidate must hold a valid J&K domicile certificate to qualify under state quota.

  • ANM: Class 10 / Class 12 pass (Science preferred) with minimum marks as per JKBOPEE norms.
  • GNM: Class 12 passed with English (Science or Arts stream); minimum qualifying marks as per JKBOPEE.
  • Paramedical Diploma: Class 12 passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Maths; 50% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
  • Minimum Age: 17 years on the JKBOPEE-specified cut-off date.
  • Nationality/Domicile: Indian citizen; valid J&K domicile certificate mandatory.
  • Reservation: As per J&K Government policy for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, RBA, ALC, and PwD candidates.

Syllabus and Preparation

The JK Paramedical syllabus depends on the course track. Candidates should revise NCERT textbooks for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Mock tests and previous year question papers help identify weak areas and build exam-day speed.


Admit Card, Answer Key, Result

JKBOPEE releases the admit card a few days before the exam. The answer key is published within days of the test, followed by an objection window. The result / provisional merit list is declared based on the final answer key. For 2026, the GNM/ANM provisional merit list has been declared and the paramedical provisional selection list is also released.


Counselling and Admission

JKBOPEE conducts online counselling for qualified candidates after the result. The process involves counselling registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification at the allotted institute. Candidates should keep original certificates — 10th and 12th mark sheets, admit card, scorecard, photo ID, category certificate, and J&K domicile certificate — ready for verification.


Application Form

JKBOPEE releases the application form online once the official notification is published. Eligible candidates apply at jkbopee.gov.in by registering, filling the form, uploading documents, and paying the fee (₹1000 for GNM/ANM in 2026) online. The registration number and password must be retained for future logins including admit card download.
