What does the JK Paramedical 2027 syllabus include?
The syllabus has three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and both tests use the same paper layout. J&K BOPEE says the syllabus is in the e-Information Brochure that comes with each notification, so check the 2027 brochure when it is out.

Physics Topics for JK Paramedical 2027
Physics has 40 questions, and light and electricity carried the most of them in 2025.
- Light: reflection by mirrors, refraction, lenses and power of a lens
- Human eye: defects of vision such as myopia, and least distance of distinct vision
- Dispersion and scattering of light, prism
- Electricity: current, potential difference, resistance, resistivity and SI units
- Magnetic effects of current: field lines, solenoid and force on a current-carrying conductor
Chemistry Topics for JK Paramedical 2027
Chemistry has 40 questions, spread over reactions, acids and bases, metals and carbon compounds.
- Chemical reactions and equations: combination, displacement, double displacement and redox reactions, balancing
- Acids, bases and salts: pH, strong and weak acids, Plaster of Paris
- Metals and non-metals: properties, reactivity, extraction of metals and alloys
- Carbon and its compounds: valency, catenation, alkenes and alkynes, ethanol, soaps and detergents, allotropes
Biology Topics for JK Paramedical 2027
Biology has 40 questions, mostly on how the human body and plants work.
- Life processes: respiration and transpiration
- Control and coordination: parts of the brain and hormones such as thyroxine, insulin and adrenaline
- Reproduction: parts of a flower, seeds and sexual reproduction
- Heredity: sex chromosomes and sex determination
- Our environment: ozone depletion, biodegradable waste and global warming
How are marks split in the JK Paramedical 2027 exam?
The test has 120 questions of 1 mark each, to be solved in 2 hours on an OMR sheet. A wrong answer costs 0.25 mark, and an unanswered question gets zero.

How to Prepare for the JK Paramedical 2027 Syllabus
- Revise NCERT Class 10 science first, since most 2025 questions came from those chapters.
- Make short notes of formulas, units, reactions and diagrams for quick revision.
- After each chapter, solve the matching questions from the JK Paramedical previous year papers.
- Practise full 120-question papers in 2 hours and skip questions you are unsure of, because of the 0.25 negative mark.
- Keep the last two weeks for revision and timed practice.
