The Kerala LLB 3 Year syllabus has four sections with a fixed number of questions in each. CEE Kerala does not publish a detailed topic list; the prospectus names only the sections.

Kerala LLB 3 Year 2027 Exam Pattern and Marking
The exam is a two-hour computer based test with three marks for each correct answer and minus one for each wrong answer, so the maximum is 360 marks.

To get a rank, General and SEBC candidates need at least 36 marks and SC/ST candidates at least 18. If two candidates tie, the one with more marks in Aptitude for Legal Studies ranks higher, then English, then Arithmetic and Mental Ability, and then the older candidate.
What topics should you revise in each section?
Revise the topics below for each section. This list is a guide based on past papers, not an official CEE list.
- General English: vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, idioms, one-word substitution), grammar and error spotting, sentence correction and arrangement, and reading comprehension.
- General Knowledge: Indian history and the freedom movement, geography, polity, economy, general science, current affairs of the last year, and Kerala-specific facts.
- Arithmetic and Mental Ability: percentages, ratio, averages, profit and loss, time and work, number series, coding-decoding, blood relations, directions and simple puzzles.
- Aptitude for Legal Studies: legal principles applied to facts, the Constitution (fundamental rights, duties, directive principles), courts and writs, legal terms and maxims, and recent laws and judgments.
The new criminal laws (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam) are worth knowing for legal awareness questions.
How to Prepare for the Kerala LLB 3 Year 2027 Syllabus
Start with Aptitude for Legal Studies and General English, since together they carry 78 of the 120 questions. Then build General Knowledge through daily reading, and keep short daily practice for arithmetic and reasoning.
- Read one English newspaper daily and keep monthly current affairs notes.
- Revise NCERT Class 11 and 12 political science for the Constitution and polity basics.
- Practise timed tests on a computer, since the exam is a CBT with negative marking.
- Skip guesses you are unsure about: a wrong answer costs one mark.
