State CET Cell has not yet published the Maharashtra NEET-PG-2026 registration schedule, but MCC’s national schedule fixes state Round 1 for 21 October to 2 November 2026, with joining by 10 November 2026.

Which seats are filled through Maharashtra NEET PG counselling?
State CET Cell fills the state quota MD, MS and PG Diploma seats of Maharashtra colleges and all counselling seats of private and minority colleges. The 50% All India Quota seats of government colleges go through MCC.

How to register for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You register once online on the State CET Cell portal, pay the fee and deposit, and upload your documents. Only candidates who complete payment are placed on the state merit list. The steps below follow the NEET-PG-2025 process; the 2026 notice may change details.
Apply Online for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2026
Applications for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2026 are expected in October 2026.
- Open the State CET Cell CAP 2026-27 page and choose NEET-PGM under Medical Education once the 2026 link is live.
- Register with your NEET PG 2026 details, email ID and mobile number, and fill the online application form.
- Claim your category, in-service, PwD or other quota in the form itself. A claim cannot be added after submission.
- Pay the Rs 3,000 registration fee and the refundable security deposit online.
- Upload colour scans of your original documents in PDF within the registration window.
- Check the provisional and final state merit lists, then fill preferences separately in each CAP round.

The deposit decides which colleges you may choose, and it cannot be raised after registration closes. It is refunded at the end of the process if you join your seat or get none. Not joining a seat allotted in Round 2 or later, or resigning after joining, forfeits it.
Who can apply for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You can apply if you qualified NEET PG 2026 and studied MBBS in Maharashtra, as per the 2025 brochure rules below.
- Indian national. OCI candidates are eligible only under the conditions in the brochure.
- MBBS from a college in Maharashtra, with internship completed by the cut-off date set for the year (31 July in 2025).
- Maharashtra-domiciled candidates who did MBBS outside the state under the 15% All India Quota are also eligible.
- MBBS from a foreign university is not eligible under this process.
- Registration with NMC, Maharashtra Medical Council or another state council before document verification.
- Minimum NEET PG percentile: 50th for General and EWS, 45th for General-PwD and EWS-PwD, 40th for reserved categories (2025 brochure), or as revised by NMC.
- Candidates who did not complete the Maharashtra one-year bond service after two NEET PG attempts need a bond release certificate.
How do CAP rounds work in Maharashtra NEET PG counselling?
Seats are allotted in online CAP rounds on NEET PG merit and the preferences you submit for that round.
- Each preference is a four-digit college and subject code with a suffix: S for state quota, I for institutional quota and N for NRI quota.
- Preferences do not carry forward. Fill and submit fresh preferences for Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and the stray vacancy round.
- Once you click submit, the preferences for that round cannot be changed.
- If you join a seat and are satisfied, you can submit a Status Retention Form at the college. You then leave the later rounds.
- Joining needs all original documents and the fees at the allotted college before the last date of the round.
- Not joining a seat allotted in Round 2 or later, or resigning after joining, forfeits the security deposit.

- MBBS degree or passing certificate and internship completion certificate
