The Mahatma Gandhi Mission University of Health Science also known as MGMUHS conducts an entrance examination namely, MGM Common Entrance Test (MGM CET 2017). The test is conducted for the admission to UG & PG Courses in Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Phsiotheraphy, Hospital Administration, Master of Health Profession Eductation & Master of Public Health. The students must appear in MGM CET to be selected for the applied course. Final selection of the candidates is based on the written test and personal interview. The University conducts the entrance test for admissions to its constituent medical colleges. MGM University of Health Science was set up in 1956, under the UGC act and it is recognized by the Government of India for its medical courses.

MGM UG CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure that they fit the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the University. The eligibility criteria for various undergraduate courses are given below:

  1. Must have passed the class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board.
  2. Candidates should have obtained more than 50% marks in the 12th class.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
  1. Must have passed class 12th with English,Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board.
  2. The candidates must have completed Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery are eligible to apply for the exam.

MGM CET 2017 Application form

The application form for MGM UG CET 2017 can be obtained in person on payment of Rs. 500/- from MGM Institute of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai. Candidates can even download the form from the website The application forms have to submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs 500/-  on / before the last date of submission, in case of downloaded form from website. The candidate should write the course title, his/her name & Mobile number on the back of the Demand Draft. Candidate will have to fill the personal details, educational qualification and affix a recent passport size photograph on the application form on the given box.

Along with the application form, candidates need to submit the attested photocopies of the following documents:

  1. S. S. C. Statement of Marks
  2. S. S. C. Passing Certificate
  3. H.S.C. Statement of Marks
  4. H.S.C. Passing Certificate
  5. Transfer Certificate / Leaving Certificate
  6. Migration Certificate
  7. Age /Nationality and Domicile Certificate

MGM CET 2017 Admit Card

All candidates who would have filled the application forms and have paid the Examination Fee as stipulated in the application form will be issued admit card for MGM CET 2017. The admit card can be obtained either from the MIMHS office/ website. In the admit card detailed address for the examination centre will be provided. Candidates have to bring their admit card to appear for the entrance test. No candidate will be allowed to sit for the examination without an admit card. The MGM CET 2018 Admit card only authorizes the candidate to enter the examination hall & appear for MGM –CET. It does not simply implies that the candidate satisfies all the requirements of eligibility conditions of admission. The admit cards can also be sent by post/ courier on the registered addresses of candidates. In case the candidate do not receive the card, he/she may collect duplicate admit card from MGMIHS, Navi Mumbai OR from his/her respective examination centre 3 hours before the commencement of CET examination.

MGM CET 2017 Examination Pattern

MGM UG CET 2017 will be of 3 hours which will contain 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ’s), out of which 50 each will be from Chemistry & Physics and 100 from Biology. Each question will be of single best response objective type with four answer options. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer and there shall be NO NEGATIVE MARKING for wrong answer.

MGM PG CET 2017 Paper will comprise of 300 questions. Each question carries 1 mark and there will no negative marking. The question paper will contain multiple choice questions. The standard of the examination will be that of syllabus of graduation. The language of the question paper will be English. Time allotted for the exam is 3 hours.

Note: In case if a particular examination centre is deleted, candidate at that centre will be allotted next nearest centre.

MGM CET 2017 Result

The Competent Authority shall declare the provisional result or marks scored by candidates of MGM UG CET 2017 on MGM Institute of Health Sciences website, i.e. on or before 10th August, 2017. The Academic Year 2017-18 will commence from 1st September, 2017 for all the above courses.

Note: Admission to Bsc Paramedical Course will be on the basis of Class 12th board examination. Candidate must have obtained more than 50% aggregate marks in Physics / Chemistry and Biology. Candidates of this course will be exempted from appearing in the MGM CET 2017.
