How to Apply for MITID DAT 2027
You apply online only, on the DAT portal. The form is open from 17 September 2026 to 28 February 2027.

Applications for MITID DAT 2027 are open: 17 September 2026 to 28 February 2027.
- Open the MITID DAT portal and choose to register.
- Register with your email ID and mobile number.
- Activate your account through the verification link sent to your email ID.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Fill in the application form and upload the required documents.
- Accept the declaration and submit the form. After scrutiny, the admit card is sent to your registered email ID.

If you are appearing in Class 12 in 2027, you can apply without the Class 12 marksheet. Admission is confirmed only after you pass.
Who can apply for MITID DAT 2027?
For B.Des and B.Des Fashion, you need 10+2 from any stream and any recognised board (HSC, CBSE, ICSE or IB).
- B.Des minimum marks: 45% for general or open category candidates.
- Relaxation of 5% applies to backward class and disabled candidates from Maharashtra only.
- M.Des: a bachelor’s degree that fits the specialisation. Graphic Design, Film and Video, Design Management and Fashion Management and Marketing accept any discipline; Product, Transportation and Interior Space and Furniture Design need engineering, architecture, industrial design or interior design.
- Candidates from outside Maharashtra are considered in the open (OMS) category.

What is the MITID DAT 2027 exam pattern?
MITID DAT mixes computer-based and pen-and-paper parts, taken at a test centre. MITID does not publish the number of questions, marks or duration.

How does MITID select students after the DAT?
Selection has two phases. DAT scores decide who is shortlisted for Phase 2, a studio test followed by a personal interview at the MITID campus in Pune.
- The shortlist is put up on the MITID website. No separate call letters are sent.
- Studio test and interview: 24 to 30 April 2027 for M.Des, and 6 to 13 May 2027 for B.Des and B.Des Fashion.
- The final list for all programmes is due on 20 May 2027 after 5 PM.
- The Admission Committee decides the procedure, grades and weightage each year.
