How is the MP ITI merit list prepared?

Your common rank comes from your marks in the minimum qualification of the trade, Class 8 or Class 10. Seats are then allotted by rank, reservation and the order of your choices, and the allotted ITI and trade are shown in your allotment letter.

  • You first get the highest choice your rank allows in unreserved merit. SC, ST and OBC candidates get the better of their unreserved-merit and category-merit options.
  • After the first list you can take admission and ask for an upgrade, take admission without an upgrade, or skip admission and wait for an upgrade.
  • If you get your first choice and do not take admission, the allotment is cancelled and you are out of further counselling.
  • If Class 8 trades still have seats and no Class 8 applicants are left, they can be offered on Class 10 marks in the open round.

After the main lists come an open round (with out-of-state applicants), CLC rounds where you report at the ITI on a fixed date, and the FCFS round. The MP ITI merit list page shows how to check your rank and allotment.

How are MP ITI seats reserved?

Half of the seats in each trade are kept for applicants from the ITI’s own district and half are open to the whole state. Unfilled district seats go to state applicants.
