How to Check the MU LLM CET Result 2027
- Open the LL.M. CET result link on mu.ac.in. In 2026 it was the LL.M. CET result portal of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation.
- Enter the Application ID you used in LL.M. CET registration.
- Complete the captcha and click Verify.
- Click View Score Card.
- Check your name, category and score, then download and print the score card.
Keep a printed copy that shows your full name. In 2026 the Department of Law accepted only a score card carrying the candidate’s full name at document verification.
What does the MU LLM CET 2027 score card show?
The score card gives your normalized CET score, which is what merit lists use. The 2026 merit lists showed each candidate’s Application ID, category, quota, normalized score and percentile.
What are the MU LLM CET qualifying marks?
You must score at least 40 out of 100 if you are in the General category, or 30 out of 100 if you are in a reserved category, to be eligible for LL.M. admission.
Because the 2026 test ran in two batches, merit lists used normalized scores and percentiles. If two candidates have equal CET marks, the one with more LL.B. marks ranks higher, and then HSC marks decide. There is no revaluation, since the online test is marked automatically.
What is the expected MU LLM CET 2027 cut off?
The table shows the lowest normalized score admitted on open merit seats for University of Mumbai LL.B. graduates in the Department of Law’s first round (2026, official Round 1 list).
| LL.M. group (Department of Law) | Lowest open merit score, Round 1 (2026) |
|---|---|
| Group I: Constitutional and Administrative Law | 79.87 |
| Group II: Business Law | 78.16 |
| Group III: Intellectual Property and Information Technology | 76.5 |
| Group IV: Human Rights Law | 74.81 |
| Group V: Criminal Law and Criminal Administration | 76.5 |
| Group VI: Environmental Law | 74.81 |
Each group’s first-round list had 100 seats: 90 for University of Mumbai graduates and 10 for other universities. Reserved-category seats closed lower, several of them stayed vacant in round 1, and later rounds and affiliated colleges have their own lists.
What happens after the MU LLM CET 2027 result?
After the result you apply to the Department of Law or an affiliated law college yourself, because LL.M. admission is not centralised. The Department of Law followed these steps in 2026.
- Fill the Department of Law’s Google Form with your LL.M. group preferences. Preferences cannot be changed later.
- Check the general merit list and the group-wise round lists on mu.ac.in and the department notice board.
- Report at the Fort campus on your slot with original documents for verification.
- After approval, pay the admission fee online (NEFT, RTGS, UPI or QR code) and submit the pre-registration form.
- If you got a lower preference, you can be upgraded in a later round when a seat in a higher preference falls vacant.
| Category | Department of Law admission fee 2026-27 |
|---|---|
| General | Rs 12,474 (including exam fees) |
| Reserved (SC/ST, OBC, SBC, DT/NT, EWS, SEBC) | Rs 5,256 (including exam fees) |
If you are absent when called in a round, the seat goes to the next candidate present. Students already enrolled in an LL.M. elsewhere had to cancel that admission within three days of getting a seat.
