The Mysore University PG Entrance Exam 2027 (UoM PGEE) is the test the University of Mysore holds for admission to its MA, MSc, MCom, MSW, MEd, LLM and other PG programmes for 2027-28. It is not notified yet. Going by 2026, the form is expected in July 2027 and the exam in July or August 2027.

The 2027 dates are not announced yet. In 2026 the notification came on 29 June, the form was open from 1 to 23 July and the exam was held on 31 July and 1 August, so a similar July to August schedule is expected in 2027.

How to Apply for the Mysore University PG Entrance Exam 2027
You apply online only, on the University of Mysore PG admissions portal, and you pay a separate fee for each subject paper you choose. Admission itself needs a second online application (Part B) after the entrance result.
Apply Online for Mysore University PGEE 2027
Applications for Mysore University PGEE 2027 are expected in July 2027.
- Read the admission notification and the course-wise eligibility criteria for the programme you want.
- Register on the online application portal and note the username and password you create.
- Choose the entrance paper for each programme. One common paper covers each group of courses (Groups 1 to 4); every other course has its own paper.
- Pay the entrance fee online for each paper and save the confirmation.
- After the result, log in again during the admission window, enter your semester-wise degree marks, pick programmes and colleges in order of preference, upload your documents and submit.

For the admission form, documents are uploaded as PDFs of up to 700 KB each (2,000 KB for degree marks cards): Class 10 marks card, all semester marks cards, category certificate and any special category claim.
Who can apply for the Mysore University PG Entrance Exam 2027?
You need a bachelor’s degree that meets the eligibility rule of the PG course you want; the rule differs from course to course. Students in the final semester of their degree can take the entrance and show their marks cards at admission.
- Many MA courses (for example Ambedkar Studies, Development Studies, Linguistics, Women’s Studies) accept any degree.
- Subject courses need that subject in your degree, e.g. MA History or Political Science needs it as a major or optional, and M.Com needs a B.Com, BBM or BBA.
- Some courses set minimum marks, e.g. MA English and MA Public Administration ask for 45% (40% for SC, ST and Category I).
- M.Ed needs a B.Ed (50%) or an equivalent degree; M.P.Ed needs a B.P.Ed.
- Foreign nationals do not take the entrance and apply through the university’s International Centre.

Which PG courses use the common group papers?
The entrance is compulsory for every PG programme of the university, but four groups of related courses share one common paper. Every other course has its own separate paper.

What is the Mysore University PG Entrance Exam 2027 exam pattern?
Each paper is an offline multiple-choice test answered on an OMR sheet, based on the degree-level syllabus of that subject. The 2025 question booklets give this pattern:

How is the admission merit list prepared?
Admission merit gives equal weight to your degree and your entrance marks: 50% from your marks in the relevant subjects of the qualifying degree and 50% from the entrance.
- You must first reach the qualifying marks in the entrance paper of that course.
- Seats are filled under Scheme A first, then special category quotas, then casual rounds and Scheme B seats.
- Reservation follows Karnataka government orders, with separate lists for University of Mysore graduates and for students from other universities.
- A programme runs only if at least 10 students join; otherwise students may have to shift to a related programme (languages are exempt).
