How to Download the NCET 2027 Answer Key
You download the NCET 2027 answer key from your candidate login on the NCET website once NTA issues the public notice. In 2026 the provisional key came out on 28 April 2026, ten days after the exam, so the 2027 key is expected in April or May 2027.
- Go to exams.nta.nic.in/ncet.
- Click the NCET 2027 answer key challenge link.
- Log in with your application number and password or date of birth.
- View the question paper, your recorded responses and the provisional answer key.
- Download and save them before the challenge window closes.
What is the NCET response sheet?
The response sheet shows the question paper you attempted and the option recorded against each question. NTA displays it in the same login as the provisional key, usually for two to three days only, so save a copy at once.
How can you challenge the NCET 2027 answer key?
You can challenge any answer in the provisional key online, during the window NTA announces, by paying a non-refundable Rs 200 per question. In 2026 the window ran from 28 to 30 April 2026.
- Log in at exams.nta.nic.in/ncet during the challenge window.
- Select the question you want to challenge and the option you believe is correct.
- Upload proof such as a textbook page to support your claim.
- Pay Rs 200 per question by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
- Submit and save the receipt.
Subject experts review all paid challenges. NTA does not reply to candidates individually; accepted changes appear in the final answer key, and no grievance is heard after the NCET result is declared.
How to Calculate Your NCET 2027 Score
You calculate your NCET raw score by giving yourself 4 marks for each correct answer and taking away 1 mark for each wrong one. You attempt 160 questions, so the maximum is 640.
- Correct answer: +4 marks.
- Wrong answer: -1 mark.
- Unanswered or marked for review: 0.
- If more than one option is correct, +4 goes to those who marked any correct option.
- If a question is dropped, everyone who attempted it gets +4.
If NCET is held in more than one shift, as in 2026, NTA converts raw marks into NTA scores and does not publish raw marks. Your estimate is therefore only a guide to your final score.
