NIRD Hyderabad Distance Education PGDSRD PGDTDM PGDGARD Admission 2018

Candidates seeking admission in following have to fill the Application form 2018 and have to be submitted at the official authority.

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD) Tenth Batch (2018)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Development Management (PGDTDM) Seventh Batch (2018) (Recognized by University Grants Commission, New Delhi)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Geo-Spatial Technology Applications in Rural Development (PGDGARD) Third Batch (2018)

The Application Form and Information Brochure can be downloaded from NIRD&PR’s Website www.nird.org.in.pgdgard.aspx. The filled-in Application accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- (for Gen/OBC) & Rs. 300/- (for SC/ST/PH candidates) drawn in favour of “NIRD-DEC-PGCGARD/NIRD-DEC-PGD-SRD/NIRD-DEC-PGD-SRD” payable at Hyderabad, towards Application Fee (No Application Fee for NRIs and Foreign Nationals) along with attested copies of the required Certificates as mentioned in the Application Form should reach Professor and Head, Centre for PG Studies and Distance Education, National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad – 500 030, Telangana, India.

The last date for receipt of filled in applications is extended upto 15-12-2017

Eligibility Criteria

A Graduate degree in any discipline from a UGC recognized University. For foreign applicants, degree of their University should be recognized by their Government and their competence in English should be ensured.

Examination Details

PGDSRD Course will be offered in Semester wise and will have 30 Marks for the continuous Evaluation through Assignments and 70 Marks for Semester End Examinations (Total 100 Marks). The Students will also have to undertake a Project relating to Rural Development in the Second Semester which will also carry 100 Marks .

PGDTDM Course will be offered in two Semesters and will have 30 Marks for the continuous Evaluation through Assignments and 70 Marks for Semester End Examinations. The Students will also have to undertake a Project relating to Tribal Development in the Second Semester which will also carry 100 Marks .

PGDGARD Course will be offered in two Semesters and will have 30 Marks for the continuous Evaluation through Assignments and 70 Marks for Semester End Examinations (Total 100 Marks). The Students will also have to undertake a Project relating to Geo-Spatial applications in Rural Development in the Second Semester which will also carry 100 Marks .

Above mention fee for different courses is to be deposited in two equal installments at the commencement of each Semester. For sponsored candidates, full Fee will have to be deposited at the time of admission. Fee for NRIs and foreign nationals is $ 1700 to be paid at the time of admission.

About the Programmes: NIRD&PR is commencing its Ninth One Year PG Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development Programme, Sixth One year PG Diploma Programme in Tribal Development Management and Second One year PG Diploma Programme in Geo-Spatial Technology Applications in Rural Development in Distance Mode from 1st January 2018. The Programmes will be offered through two Semesters with 16 credits each. The PG Diplomas will be awarded by the NIRD&PR.

Special Features : Printed self-instructional material and proximate Contact Centers spread across the country. Participation in Contact Session is not compulsory and it will carry no marks. However, those Students participating in them will be benefitted.
