PMNET 2027 (Punjab Master of Sciences Nursing Entrance Test) is the state-level entrance test conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, for M.Sc Nursing admission in Punjab’s nursing colleges. How to Apply for PMNET 2027
You apply for PMNET 2027 online on the BFUHS admission portal; there is no offline form, and you should not apply through any nursing college. The link is expected to open in May 2027 with the new prospectus.
Apply Online for PMNET 2027
Applications for PMNET 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Download and read the PMNET prospectus from the BFUHS M.Sc Nursing admissions page.
- Register on the online application portal and fill in your personal, category, qualification and experience details.
- Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway by the fee deadline.
- Upload your photograph and signature, and any certificates the form asks for.
- Check every entry, submit the form and keep a printout. Corrections are allowed only until the date given in the schedule (22 June 2026, 5:00 PM, last year).

The fee is not refunded or adjusted in any case. A printed prospectus costs Rs 200 at the university. NRI and foreign national candidates do not take PMNET; they apply separately after getting an eligibility certificate from BFUHS.
Who can apply for PMNET 2027?
You can apply if you hold a B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree with at least 55% marks and have one year of nursing work experience. Eligibility follows the Punjab Government notification of 9 September 2020, printed in the 2026 prospectus:
- B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 55% marks from BFUHS or an equivalent university recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC)
- If the degree is from IGNOU, the study centre must be recognised by the INC
- At least one year of work experience by the time of joining, in bedside nursing, public health nursing or a nursing educational institute recognised by the INC (after Basic B.Sc Nursing, or before or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing)
- A degree from a recognised institute in Punjab, or bonafide Punjab residence; wards of defence personnel posted in Punjab, minority-quota, NRI-category and J&K migrant candidates are also covered
- Seats left after the Punjab list is exhausted go to candidates from outside Punjab, on merit
Clearing PMNET does not by itself make you eligible: the selection committee and the college check eligibility at counselling and joining.
What is the PMNET 2027 exam pattern?
PMNET is a 3-hour pen-and-paper test of 200 multiple-choice questions for 800 marks, so each question carries 4 marks. The 2026 split was:

Answers are marked on an OMR sheet with a black ball pen. There is no negative marking for a wrong answer, but every question needs one oval darkened: if you skip a question, darken the fifth oval (E), otherwise 1 mark is deducted. How are M.Sc Nursing seats allotted after PMNET?
BFUHS fills M.Sc Nursing seats through online counselling on its portal, in order of PMNET merit and your college and speciality choices. In 2026 there were two online rounds (July and August) and a college-level round in September.
- Specialities allotted in 2026: Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing (OBG), Paediatric Nursing, Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, Community Health Nursing and Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC)
- Government colleges: 92.5% of seats for Punjab candidates and 7.5% NRI quota; private colleges: 50% government quota and 50% management quota (35% Punjab, 15% NRI)
- State-quota reservation: Scheduled Caste 25%, Backward Classes 10%, differently abled 5%
- In round 2 your round 1 choices lapse; you fill fresh choices only if you want to upgrade or change your seat
- Allotment is provisional until the college verifies your original documents and eligibility and you pay the fee
Admissions must be completed by the deadline set by the Indian Nursing Council, which was 30 September in 2026.
