PPMET 2027 (Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test) is the entrance test that Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, conducts for admission to the 4-year B.Sc Nursing course in nursing colleges across Punjab. It is an offline OMR test expected in May or June 2027, with online applications expected from April 2027.

PPMET 2027 Important Dates
BFUHS has not announced the PPMET 2027 schedule yet. In 2026 the prospectus came out on 27 April and the test was held on 7 June, so 2027 dates are expected on a similar pattern.

How to Apply for PPMET 2027
You can apply for PPMET only online, on the BFUHS admission portal linked from bfuhs.ac.in, once the PPMET 2027 prospectus is released, expected in April 2027. Only one application is allowed per candidate, and the fee is accepted only through the online payment gateway.
Apply Online for PPMET 2027
Applications for PPMET 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Download the PPMET 2027 prospectus from bfuhs.ac.in and read the eligibility rules in Part II.
- Fill the online application form with a valid mobile number and email ID. BFUHS sends your registration ID and password to both.
- Log in and upload your photograph, signature and left thumb impression, each under 25 KB.
- Enter your bank account details and upload a cancelled cheque or passbook copy, which is used for refunds.
- Pay the application fee online before the fee deadline.
- Check your name, date of birth, category and Class 12 marks before the form locks, then print at least three copies.

These are the 2026 fees from the official prospectus. The fee is not refunded or adjusted once paid, and BFUHS issues the admit card only to candidates whose fee is received.
Who can apply for PPMET 2027?
You can apply if you have passed Class 12 (10+2) in science with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and a pass in English. SC, ST and OBC candidates need 40%.
- Age: at least 17 years on 31 December of the admission year (for 2026 admission, born on or before 31 December 2009).
- Board: your Class 12 board must be a member of COBSE.
- Punjab state quota: you must be an Indian citizen and have passed 10+1 and 10+2 from Punjab, or be born in Punjab, or be a permanent resident of Punjab as defined in the Punjab Government notification.
- Other states: candidates from outside Punjab are considered after Punjab candidates are exhausted, in the second and later counselling rounds.
- NRI seats: NRI candidates are admitted on Class 12 PCB marks with an eligibility certificate from BFUHS and do not take PPMET.
These rules are from the PPMET 2026 prospectus and the Punjab Government notification of 4 July 2023, amended on 19 June 2025. Final eligibility is checked by the college principal at the time of joining.
What is the PPMET 2027 exam pattern?
PPMET is a pen-and-paper test with multiple-choice questions marked on an OMR sheet. It has five sections: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Aptitude for Nursing.

Always darken oval E for a question you do not attempt, or you lose a mark for it. The topics for each section are listed on the PPMET syllabus page.
How are B.Sc Nursing seats allotted after PPMET?
Seats are allotted through online counselling by BFUHS on the basis of your PPMET rank, your choices of college and category, and the Punjab Government reservation rules.
- Government and university colleges reserve seats for SC (25%), BC (10%), persons with disability (5%) and smaller quotas such as sports, border and backward areas, and wards of defence and police personnel.
- Private colleges fill 50% of seats as government quota and 50% as management or minority quota, which includes 15% NRI seats.
- After allotment you download a provisional letter, report to the college for a medical check-up and document check, and pay the first-year fee online.
