How is the Rajasthan Pre PhD paper marked?
Each correct answer gets 4 marks and each wrong answer loses 1 mark, for a maximum of 400. Darkening circle E (not attempted) gives zero, and marking more than one circle counts as wrong.

How should you prepare for Rajasthan Pre PhD 2027?
- Revise your full M.Sc. course work; the booklet says the paper covers the entire subject studied in the PG programme.
- Use the Annexure II outline as a checklist and mark the topics you did not study in your own M.Sc.
- Do not skip experimental designs and statistical analysis, which appear in the outline of most Agriculture and Horticulture papers.
- Learn Rajasthan-specific points such as the state’s agro-climatic zones, which the Agronomy outline names.

Is there a general aptitude or research methodology section?
No separate section is listed. All 100 questions come from your subject outline, though many outlines include research methods, experimental designs and statistics.
Which paper should an M.Sc. Organic Farming student take?
The Agronomy paper. In 2026 the booklet allowed M.Sc. (Agri) Organic Farming graduates to seek Ph.D. Agronomy through the Agronomy syllabus.
