You can apply if you hold a B.Ed., Shiksha Shastri, B.A.-B.Ed., B.Sc.-B.Ed. or B.El.Ed., or a D.El.Ed. along with a graduate degree, with at least 55% marks.

  • Students appearing in B.Ed., Shiksha Shastri or an equivalent exam this year can apply. • A married woman can use her husband’s Rajasthan domicile, with his domicile certificate and a marriage certificate issued by the District Magistrate.
  • Wards of defence and central government employees posted outside Rajasthan, who are originally from Rajasthan, can be treated as Rajasthan candidates with the employer’s certificate and a domicile certificate.

How are M.Ed. seats given in PMET 2026?

PMET 2026 has no written test. The University of Rajasthan prepares a merit list from candidates’ marks under the PMET rules, and colleges are then allotted through counselling.

  • If two candidates have equal marks, the one with higher marks in the B.Ed. (education graduate) exam ranks higher; if those are also equal, the older candidate ranks higher.
  • Unreserved seats are filled first, then the reserved quotas. Reserved seats left vacant can go to general candidates.
  • Women can get co-education colleges on merit, and women’s colleges admit only women.
  • You can get any M.Ed. college in the state; living in a district gives no claim to a college there.
