RGUKT Application Form 2018 – B.Tech Programme

RGUKT – R.K. Valley (Andhra Pradesh State)

Candidates can apply through AP Online services or can use the links provided below. Candidates have to carry study certificates from 4th class to 10th class and soft copy of your passport size photograph to APOnline Center for filling the application.

The candidates should apply through APOnline services only. Application Fee: Rs. 150.00 (for OC and BC candidates) Rs. 100.00 (for SC and ST candidates).The application fee should be paid in cash at APOnline service center, for which the center will issue a receipt. An additional amount of Rs. 25.00 per application should be paid as service charges to the APOnline Centre. If any candidate applies more than once, then the latest application will be considered for the selection process.

Note: Immediately after submitting the application through online, the applicant should send its print-out duly signed along with the copy of the receipt.

RGUKT – Basar (Telangana State) Application Form

The candidate should apply online only through TS Online Services. The application submission procedure involves 2 steps, which are

  1. Application Submission
  2. Fee Submission.

The application fee should be paid in cash at TSOnline service center, for which the center will issue a receipt. The application fee of Rs. 200.00 (for OC and BC candidates) Rs. 150.00 (for SC and ST candidates) should be paid in cash at TS Online service. An additional amount of Rs. 25.00 per application should be paid as service charges to the TSOnline Centre.

Note: Immediately after submitting the application through online, the applicant should send its print-out duly signed along with copy of the receipt mentioned in 2(c) above and the relevant certificates to The Director, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Basar, Nirmal District, Telangana State-504107, by Speed Post / Registered Post. Eligibility Criteria

RGUKT­ – Basar (Telangana State)

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed SSC (10th class) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Governments of Telangana State & AP State and conducted in 2018 in first attempt.

Age Limit: Candidates should not have completed 18 years of age as on 31.12.2018, (21 years in case of students belonging to SC and ST categories)

RGUKT – R.K Valley (Andhra Pradesh State)

  • Candidates should have passed SSC (10th class) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Governments of Andhra Pradesh &Telangana State and conducted in 2018.
  • International students shall be of Indian Nationality / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

Age Limit – Candidates should not have completed 18 years of age as on December 31, 2018, (21 years in case of students belonging to SC and ST categories).

Admission Procedure

RGUKT­ – Basar (Telangana State)

  • Admissions to the first year of Integrated B Tech Program (2018-19) will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject in 10th class, and by following the statutory reservations of the State. A deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the Government for the year 2018-19 under Statute 13 (3) shall be added to the 10th class GPA of those applicants who studied in non-residential Government Schools including the Zilla Parishad and Municipal Schools, with an objective of providing weight age to the socio-economically challenged students in the admission process.
  • At RGUKT, Basar, admissions to 85% of the total available seats shall be reserved for the Local Candidates (Osmania University area, Telangana State) and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved (these seats will be filled with both States Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students based on merit) as specified in the Presidential Order 371 Article D in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014.

RGUKT – R.K Valley (Andhra Pradesh State)

  • Admissions to the first year of Integrated B.TechProgram (2018-19) will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject and by following the statutory reservations of the State.
  • Admission to 85% of total available seats shall be reserved for ‘local candidates’(Andhra Pradesh) and the remaining 15% of the seats are open to the students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states as specified in the Presidential Order 371 Article D in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014.
  • The rules and guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time shall be followed for admissions.

Selection Methods

RGUKT­ – Basar (Telangana State)

(i) Admissions will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject in 10th class, and as per the provisions of Presidential Order, 1974. A deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the Government under Statute 13 (3), shall be added to the 10th class GPA of applicants from non-residential Government Schools including the Zilla Parishad and Municipal Schools for selection, with an objective of providing weightage to help the students from socially, economically deprived sections of the society for admissions.
(ii) In case of a tie in GPA score, it will be resolved by adopting the following options in that sequence:

  • Higher grade in Mathematics,
  • Higher grade in General Science,
  • Higher grade in English,
  • Higher grade in Social Studies,
  • Higher grade in 1st Language,
  • Older candidate as per the Date of Birth,
  • Lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number

If the tie is resolved with any of the check in the chronological order mentioned above, the next option(s) will not be checked.

(iii) The procedure of resolving by random number is as follows:

For SSC, NIOS & OSSC applicants: The random number will be obtained as the remainder of {253 x [first 5 digits of the hall ticket number] divided by the last 5 digits of the hall ticket number}.

For example, from the hall ticket no.1219121028, the first five digits viz., 12191 and the last five digits viz., 21028 will be considered for this purpose. The remainder is 14235.

For CBSE & ICSE applicants: The Hall ticket consists seven digits. Hence, the random number will be obtained as the remainder of {253 x [first 3 digits of the hall ticket number] divided by the last 4 digits of the hall ticket number}.

For example, from the hall ticket no.4112605, the first three digits viz., 411 and the last four digits viz., 2605 will be considered for this purpose. The remainder is 2388.

RGUKT – R.K Valley (Andhra Pradesh State)

  • Admissions will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject, and as per the provisions of Presidential Order, 1974.
  • The latest application will be considered in case of multiple applications
  • In case of a tie in GPA score, it will be resolved by adopting the following options in that sequence:
    • Higher grade in Mathematics,
    • Higher grade in General Science,
    • Higher grade in English,
    • Higher grade in Social Studies,
    • Higher grade in 1st Language,
    • Older candidate as per the Date of Birth,
    • Lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number

Counselling

RGUKT­ – Basar (Telangana State)

  • The candidates selected for counseling shall report in person at RGUKT ­ Basar, Adilabad District in Telangana State for verification of original certificates/documents and the details provided in the application form.
  • Counseling and selection for admission in respect of candidates belonging to the Special Categories like Physically Handicapped (PH), Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), NCC and Sports will be conducted at RGUKT­ Basar.

RGUKT­ – R.K.Valley (Andhra Pradesh State)

The list of provisionally selected candidates for counseling will be displayed on the University website www.rgukt.in. The candidates will also be informed by post, E-mail and SMS message, whichever possible, to the address/mobile number written in the application form.

The applicants should submit a printout copy of the application along with the following documents at the time of certificate verification and Admission. The proforma for the certificates mentioned below:

  • The receipt issued by the AP Online services
  • Hall Ticket of X standard (10th Class)
  • GPA of 10th class Public Examination, i.e., SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS.
  • Residence certificate by those claiming Local category
  • Residence certificate/service certificate of parents by those claiming Non-Local category
  • Proof of caste/community certificate (SC/ST/BC) in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under any of these categories,
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) certificate in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under this category
  • Children of Armed Forces (CAP) certificate in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under this category,
  • NCC, Sports and games certificates by those claiming reservation under this category,

NOTE: If a candidate fails to submit any of the relevant certificates, he/she shall not be considered for admission.

The candidates selected provisionally for RGUKT shall report in person for Certificate Verification and Admissions at RGUKT campuses for verification of original certificates/documents and the details provided in the application form.

Verification of certificates and admissions in respect of candidates belonging to the Special Categories like Physically Handicapped (PH), Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), NCC and Sports will be conducted at RGUKT- Nuzvid on prescribed dates.
