How do the merit list and counselling work?
MP Online publishes the result and a common merit rank list on the portal, and seats are then allotted through off-campus online counselling in rounds.
- Check your result and merit rank on the MP Online portal. Equal marks are ranked by age (older first), then by Class 12 percentage for Master’s or graduation percentage for Ph.D.
- Lock your choices of programme, university and college within your major subject group and pay the Rs 300 counselling fee.
- Round 1 is only for JNKVV and RVSKVV graduates; graduates of other universities are considered from round 2 if seats remain.
- After allotment, download the allotment letter and pay the Rs 5,000 advance fee online to accept the seat or opt for an upgrade.
- Report in person at the allotted college with original documents and pay the remaining fee; seats of candidates who do not report are cancelled.
Carry the Class 10 certificate (date of birth proof), all mark sheets from Class 10 onwards, the provisional or degree certificate, category, income and domicile certificates where they apply, a character certificate, the admit card and three passport-size photos.
