How the TG PGLCET Syllabus Changed (2023–2026)
- 2023: the syllabus still listed Public International Law and Mercantile Law in Part B.
- 2024: these became Public and Private International Law and Business and Corporate Laws. The 120-question, 90-minute paper did not change.
- 2026: the syllabus added the salient features of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 under Crimes and Torts and the new Labour Codes under Labour Law. Older Crimes and Labour questions may need checking against the new laws.
What a TG PGLCET Paper Looks Like
The 2026 LL.M. master paper is from the test on 18 May 2026, 4:00 to 5:30 PM, held in the same session as the 5-year LL.B. test. Like every paper since 2021, it has 120 questions in two parts with the correct options marked. The subject split below is from the 2026 official pattern.
| Part | Subjects | Questions |
|---|---|---|
| Part A | Jurisprudence (20), Constitutional Law (20) | 40 |
| Part B | Public and Private International Law, Business and Corporate Laws, Labour Law, Crimes and Torts, Other Allied Laws (16 each) | 80 |
How to Use TG PGLCET Previous Year Papers?
- Answer a question every 45 seconds. 120 questions in 90 minutes is fast for law questions. Move on from a long one and come back if time is left.
- Mark every question. Wrong answers lose nothing, so a guess can only help your score.
- Work hardest on Part A. Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law carry 40 marks, and Part A marks break ties. Go through the Part A questions of all seven papers.
- Start with 2026, 2025 and 2024, which use the current Part B subject names. Then use the 2020 to 2023 papers for more practice, checking Crimes and Labour answers against the new laws.
- Plan for May 2027. The notification is expected in February 2027. One paper every three weeks covers all seven years before the test.
