What is in the ULET 2027 syllabus?
The ULET syllabus covers five sections, with the most questions in GK and Legal Aptitude (40 each). This is the 2026 official syllabus, and the university has not issued a separate one for 2027 yet.

ULET English and Hindi Vyakaran Topics
The English section tests comprehension, vocabulary and grammar:
- Reading comprehension
- Vocabulary: synonyms, antonyms, pairs of words, idioms and phrases, legal terms
- Grammar: sentence correction, tenses, direct and indirect speech, active and passive voice, articles and determiners, modals
The Hindi Vyakaran section tests Hindi grammar and usage:
- Gadyansh (unseen passage)
- Shabd gyan: paryayvachi, vilom, shabd yugmon ka arth bhed, vakyansh ke liye sarthak shabd, samashrut bhinnarthak shabd, vidhik shabdavali, shabd shuddhi
- Shabd rachna: sandhi and sandhi vichchhed, samas, upsarg, pratyay
- Shabd prakar: tatsam, tadbhav, deshaj, videshi, upyukt shabd chayan, ling, vachan, purush, kaal, vakya rachna, vakya shuddhi, muhavare and lokoktiyan
ULET GK, Legal Aptitude and Reasoning Topics
General Science, General Knowledge and Current Affairs (40 questions) covers:
- General science and technology
- Current affairs, and national and international events
- Environmental studies
- Indian polity, economy, history, geography and culture
- Art and culture of Rajasthan, and prominent persons and places of Rajasthan
Legal Aptitude and Legal Awareness (40 questions) covers:
- Indian Constitution: framing, features, amendments, basic structure, Preamble
- Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy and Fundamental Duties
- Supreme Court and High Courts
- Legal reasoning, general legal principles and understanding of Indian laws
Logical Reasoning and Basic Numeracy (30 questions) covers:
- Analogies, series completion, coding-decoding, blood relations, syllogisms, direction sense
- Ratios and proportions, percentage, time and work, speed and distance, simple and compound interest
What is the ULET 2027 exam pattern and marking?
ULET has 150 multiple choice questions for 150 marks, one mark each, with no negative marking, so you should attempt every question.

How to Prepare for ULET 2027
Start with the two 40-question sections, GK and Legal Aptitude, because they carry more than half the marks.
- Legal Aptitude: read the Constitution topics in NCERT Political Science (Class 11, Indian Constitution at Work) and a standard polity book such as M. Laxmikanth’s Indian Polity. Practise legal reasoning questions daily.
- GK and Current Affairs: read a daily newspaper and keep monthly notes for the last 12 months. Revise Rajasthan art, culture, places and personalities separately, since the syllabus names them.
- English and Hindi: revise grammar rules and practise one comprehension passage a day in each language.
- Reasoning and Numeracy: use Class 8 to 10 maths for percentage, ratio, interest, time and work, and practise puzzle sets.
- Mock tests: take a full 150-question paper in two hours every week and review every wrong answer.
