The UP CNET 2027 syllabus has five subjects with equal weight: Nursing Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, each 20% of the 120 questions. All are at Intermediate (Class 12) level. ABVMU gives the syllabus in its information bulletin; the 2027 bulletin is expected in March 2027.

What is the UP CNET 2027 syllabus?
ABVMU defines the CNET syllabus by subject and level only. It does not publish a chapter list. The 2026 bulletin set this weightage:

Since Physics, Chemistry and Biology are set at Intermediate level, the Class 12 science textbooks are the base for these sections. English tests Class 12 level language skills.
What is the UP CNET 2027 exam pattern and marking?
The paper has 120 multiple-choice questions to be answered on an OMR sheet in 140 minutes.
- 1 mark for each correct answer, 120 marks in total.
- No negative marking for wrong or multiple answers.
- Questions are printed in both English and Hindi.
- Ties in the merit list are broken first by Biology marks, then Chemistry, Physics, Nursing Aptitude and English.

How to Prepare for UP CNET 2027
- Finish the Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Biology textbooks first; UP Board uses NCERT books for these subjects.
- Give Biology extra revision time, since it is the first tie-breaker.
- For English, practise grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension at Class 12 level.
- Nursing Aptitude has no official topic list, so use nursing entrance practice books and mock tests for this section.
- Take full 120-question timed tests on an OMR sheet; with no negative marking, attempt every question.
ABVMU does not publish CNET question papers, and candidates must hand back the question booklet after the exam.
