UP CNET 2027 (Common Nursing Entrance Test) is the entrance test for the 4-year B.Sc. Nursing course in Uttar Pradesh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow conducts it for its affiliated colleges and for SGPGIMS, KGMU, RMLIMS, UPUMS Saifai and LLRM Meerut. The 2027 dates are not out yet; the exam is expected in June 2027.

UP CNET 2027 Important Dates
ABVMU has not announced the UP CNET 2027 schedule yet. In 2026 the form opened on 28 March and the exam was held on 6 June, so the 2027 form is expected in March and the exam in June 2027.

How to Apply for UP CNET 2027
You apply for UP CNET 2027 online only, through the CNET link on the ABVMU website. Forms sent by post are not accepted. The 2027 link will open with the information bulletin, expected in March 2027; the steps below follow the 2026 process.
Apply Online for UP CNET 2027
Applications for UP CNET 2027 are expected in March 2027.
- Open the ABVMU website, click the CNET link and press Register for B.Sc. Nursing.
- Enter your name, parents’ names and date of birth exactly as on your Class 10 certificate, plus email, mobile and WhatsApp number, category and sub-category.
- Verify the OTPs sent to your mobile and email. Your Registration ID and a one-time password arrive by SMS and email.
- Log in, change the password, and fill personal details, address, Class 10 and 12 marks and three exam-city choices. Choose Appearing if your Class 12 result is not out.
- Upload a live photo (webcam or phone camera), a passport-size photo, your signature and the handwritten Verification Sheet.
- Preview the form, tick the declaration and pay the fee online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. The form is submitted once the payment is confirmed; print it.

The fee is non-refundable. In 2026 the last date was extended by one day to 21 May, and a correction window from 13 to 20 May 2026 allowed changes to a few fields only. Name, parents’ names and date of birth entered at registration cannot be changed later.
Who can apply for UP CNET 2027?
You can take UP CNET if you have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and meet the Indian Nursing Council (INC) rules. The 2026 conditions, expected to continue, are:
- At least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40% for SC, ST and OBC), and a pass in English.
- Class 12 from any recognised board; State Open School and NIOS students with science subjects and English are also eligible.
- Minimum age of 17 years on or before 31 December of the admission year.
- Indian citizens only. Married candidates are eligible, and colour-blind candidates are eligible if they wear corrective lenses.
- You must be declared medically fit before joining the course.
Government colleges admit only Uttar Pradesh domicile candidates (a UP domicile certificate, or Class 10 and 12 both passed from Uttar Pradesh). Private colleges also admit students from other states.
What is the UP CNET 2027 exam pattern?
UP CNET is a pen-and-paper test of 120 multiple-choice questions in five equal parts, with no negative marking. The 2026 pattern was:

Which colleges admit students through UP CNET 2027?
All B.Sc. Nursing seats in the following institutes are filled only through CNET; there is no direct admission.

How does admission work after the UP CNET result?
Seats are allotted through ABVMU online counselling in order of CNET merit and your college choices. In 2026 there were Round 1, Round 2 and a mop-up round, followed by on-campus stray and special stray rounds at ABVMU Lucknow.
- To take part you need at least the 50th percentile (UR/EWS), 45th (UR/EWS PwD) or 40th (SC, ST, OBC).
- You register with your CNET Registration ID and password and pay Rs 500 (non-refundable) plus a Rs 5,000 security deposit.
- After allotment you pay a Rs 40,000 seat confirmation fee, which is adjusted against the college tuition fee, and report to the college with original documents.
- Check each college’s INC recognition, fee, hostel and transport details before filling choices.
