UP CPET, the Common Paramedical Entrance Test of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow, was not held in 2026. ABVMU filled B.MLS, B.Optom, B.PT and other allied health seats in Uttar Pradesh on Class 12 PCB merit through counselling. Registration for 2027-28 is expected around May 2027; the 2027 mode is not announced yet.

This page explains how admission to allied health bachelor courses at ABVMU works now that UP CPET is not held as a test: dates, how to apply, eligibility, merit rules and counselling.

Is UP CPET 2027 being held?
Not as a test so far. For the 2026-27 session ABVMU did not hold UP CPET. It admitted students to allied and healthcare bachelor courses through the Common Allied & Healthcare Admission-2026, on the merit of aggregate Physics, Chemistry and Biology marks in Class 12, followed by online counselling.
ABVMU has not yet said whether 2027-28 admission will again be on merit or through a test. The registration portal still carries the name CAHET (Common Allied Healthcare Entrance Test), but no test was held in 2026. Until a 2027 bulletin says otherwise, plan on merit-based admission and keep your Class 12 science marks as high as you can.

How to Apply for UP CPET 2027 (allied Health Admission)
You apply online only, through the link for Allied & Healthcare Bachelor courses on the ABVMU website. No form is accepted by post. In 2026 one registration covered all eight bachelor courses, and you chose colleges and courses later during counselling.
Apply Online for UP CPET 2027
Applications for UP CPET 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Open the ABVMU admissions page and click Register under Allied & Healthcare Bachelor courses.
- Enter your name, parents’ names and date of birth exactly as on your Class 10 certificate, plus email, mobile number and category, and verify both OTPs.
- Log in with the Registration ID and one-time password sent to you, and change the password (the portal does not let you continue without this).
- Fill in your address and Class 10 and 12 details; choose Appearing if your Class 12 result is not out, and update the marks later on the portal.
- Upload your photo and signature (JPG, 50 to 200 KB), preview the form and pay the fee by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
- Check for the message that your form was submitted successfully, then print the final form.

The fee is not refunded. In 2026 a correction window ran from 30 May to 5 June 2026, but only a few fields could be edited, so check your Class 10 details before you submit.
Who can apply for UP CPET 2027 allied health courses?
You need Class 12 with science and a pass in English. The 2026 bulletin set these subject rules:

- Age: at least 17 years on or before 31 December of the admission year (31 December 2026 for 2026-27).
- Students of NIOS or a state open school with science subjects and English are eligible.
- Government colleges need UP domicile: a UP domicile certificate, or Class 10 and 12 both passed from UP boards. Private colleges also admit students from other states.
- Only Indian citizens can apply. Admission is subject to a medical fitness certificate from a government medical college, district hospital or the district CMO.
Which courses and colleges are covered?
The 2026 admission covered eight bachelor courses in all government and private allied health colleges affiliated to ABVMU, and in SGPGIMS Lucknow, KGMU Lucknow and UPUMS Saifai. No college may admit students directly.

How is the UP CPET 2027 merit list prepared?
On the 2026 rules, your rank depends only on your Class 12 marks. ABVMU makes a combined merit list and category-wise merit lists on the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For B.Optom and B.ASLP, Mathematics or the other listed subjects can take the place of Biology.
Because students come from different boards, ABVMU normalises marks with a Z-score method: each student’s marks are rescaled using the mean and standard deviation of their own board. You are ranked on your performance relative to your board, not on raw marks alone.

ABVMU has not published closing marks or ranks for 2026 on its website, so no reliable cut off is available yet.
How does UP CPET 2027 counselling and seat allotment work?
All seats are filled through online counselling run by ABVMU, in merit order and by the college and course choices you lock. In 2026 there were four rounds: Round 1, a Mop-up round, a Stray round and an on-campus Special Stray round at ABVMU, Lucknow.
- Log in with your admission Registration ID and password and register for counselling.
- Update your Class 12 marks if needed, upload your Class 10 certificate, Class 12 marksheet and any domicile, category or minority certificate.
- Pay the counselling fees online, then fill and lock as many college and course choices as you want.
- After allotment, log in and accept (freeze) or decline the seat within the deadline.
- If you accept, pay the seat confirmation fee and report in person to the allotted college with original documents.

Read the deadlines carefully. In 2026, not logging in to accept or decline an allotted seat, or not reporting to the college, forfeited the Rs 5,000 security fee. A candidate admitted in Round 1 who did not resign by 3 August 2026 lost both the security fee and the Rs 40,000 seat confirmation fee.
What documents do you need for admission?
Carry the originals and one set of self-attested photocopies when you report to the allotted college. The 2026 counselling bulletin listed:
- Provisional seat allotment letter and the Rs 40,000 seat confirmation fee receipt
- Five recent passport-size colour photographs with a white background and a photo ID (Aadhaar, voter ID or driving licence)
- The verification sheet uploaded with your application
- Class 12 marksheet and pass certificate, Class 10 certificate (for date of birth) and Class 12 migration or transfer certificate
- Medical fitness certificate from a government medical college, district hospital or the district CMO
- If applicable: SC/ST certificate from a UP Tehsildar or SDM, OBC-NCL or EWS certificate issued on or after 1 April of the admission year, PwBD, freedom fighter dependent, ex-serviceman, NCC ‘C’ (grade B) or minority certificate
