UP ITI Admission 2027 is the online admission to Government, PPP and private Industrial Training Institutes of Uttar Pradesh for the 2027-28 session, run by the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT UP). There is no entrance exam: seats are allotted on Class 8 or Class 10 merit. The form is expected in July 2027.

Is there an entrance exam for UP ITI admission 2027?
No. SCVT UP admits students to Government and private ITIs on the merit of the qualifying exam: Class 8 marks for Class 8 trades and Class 10 marks for Class 10 trades. You apply once online, fill your choices of district, ITI and trade, and seats are allotted in rounds.

The 2027-28 schedule is not announced yet. In 2026 the online form ran from 11 July to 7 August 2026, so the 2027 form is expected in July 2027, followed by allotment rounds from August.

How to Apply for UP ITI Admission 2027
You apply online only, through the admission link on scvtup.in. One form covers both Government and private ITIs, and both NCVT and SCVT trades, and you pay the registration fee only once.
Apply Online for UP ITI 2027
Applications for UP ITI 2027 are expected in July 2027.
- Open scvtup.in and click the online application link for Government/Private ITI admission 2027-28 when it opens.
- Enter your name, category and mobile number, and verify the mobile number with the OTP sent to it.
- Fill in your details in capital letters exactly as in your Class 10 or equivalent certificate, add your Aadhaar number and choose whether you are applying for Government ITIs, private ITIs or both.
- Enter your Class 8 total marks, your Class 10 subject-wise marks, or both, depending on the trades you want.
- Fill as many choices of district, ITI and trade (NCVT or SCVT) as you can, in order of preference.
- Preview the form, pay the fee online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI, and print the submitted form.

To finish an incomplete form, edit it or print it, log in on the portal with your registered mobile number, date of birth, category and the captcha code. The prospectus gives at least 25 working days to apply and 2 more days after the last date to correct mistakes, including a wrong category or gender (by paying the fee difference).
Who can apply for UP ITI admission 2027?
You can apply if you have passed Class 8 or Class 10, as your chosen trade requires, and meet the age rule. These are the rules of the 2026-27 prospectus; the 2027 prospectus will confirm them.
- Age: at least 14 years on 1 August of the admission year (for 2026 this meant born on or before 31 July 2012). There is no upper age limit and no relaxation in the minimum age.
- Qualification: Class 8 pass for Class 8 trades, Class 10 (UP Board High School or equivalent) for Class 10 trades. You cannot choose a trade whose qualification you do not hold.
- Fitness: you must be physically and mentally fit for the trade; eyesight of 6/18 in both eyes or 6/24 in one eye without glasses is required.
- Marks given as CGPA must be converted to marks using your board’s own formula.
How many ITIs and seats are there in Uttar Pradesh?
Uttar Pradesh offered more than 4.6 lakh ITI seats for the 2026 session. These are the figures in the 2026-27 prospectus.

Government ITI seats are split between NCVT trades (98,371) and SCVT trades (55,272). In any district, 75% of Government and PPP ITI seats are kept for candidates with that district’s domicile and 25% for candidates from other districts; unfilled home-district seats go to others.
How is the UP ITI 2027 merit list prepared?
Your rank depends on the marks of your qualifying exam, plus any weightage marks you are entitled to. SCVT UP makes separate rank lists for Class 8 trades and Class 10 trades, and marks from different boards are scaled to a total of 600 before weightage is added.

If two candidates have the same marks, the older one ranks higher; if age is also the same, the one who submitted the form first ranks higher. Weightage counts only if you show the original certificate at admission.
How are UP ITI seats reserved?
Seats in every trade are reserved by category as per the UP government orders, with horizontal reservation inside each category.

The 12 women’s Government ITIs and the women’s trades in other Government ITIs admit only women. In the 84 Government ITIs under the Special Component Plan, 70% of seats are for SC/ST and 15% for OBC trainees.
How do the UP ITI allotment rounds work?
Seats are allotted in five phases. Phases 1 to 4 use the state-level rank list and your order of choices; phase 5 uses district-level merit. Results are posted on the SCVT UP portal and sent by SMS, and you get 6 working days to take admission after an allotment.
- Phase 1: seats are allotted on merit, category and your choices.
- Phase 2: admitted students who opted for upgradation (Float) move up to better choices, then remaining seats go to new candidates.
- Phase 3: a second round of upgradation and fresh allotment on the same lines.
- Phase 4 (Government ITIs only): students may cancel their admission online within 3 days, and the seats freed are given as upgrades to Float students.
- Phase 5: vacant seats are filled at district level by a committee of ITI principals; registered and new candidates can apply. After this, ITIs admit walk-in candidates until the final admission date.

What fees and documents do you need at a UP Government ITI?
At a Government ITI you pay Rs 300 as caution money at admission and a training fee of Rs 40 a month; SC/ST trainees do not pay the training fee. Private ITIs and the private-fee seats of PPP ITIs charge their own approved fees.
- Printout of your online application and the allotment (call) letter
- Original Class 8 or Class 10 marksheet and certificate, as your trade requires
- Caste (SC/ST/OBC) or EWS certificate, if you claimed reservation
- Certificates for sub-categories or weightage (disability, defence ward, freedom fighter dependant, sportsperson), if claimed
- Domicile certificate of your home district
- School transfer certificate (TC); if it is not ready, the ITI allows 1 month to submit it
