Uttarakhand Polytechnic (JEEP) 2027 is the Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics held by the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education (UBTER), Roorkee, for diploma engineering, pharmacy, textile and fashion courses and lateral entry to second-year diploma in Uttarakhand polytechnics. UBTER has not announced the 2027 dates; going by 2026, forms open in January and the exam is expected in June 2027.

UBTER has not released the JEEP 2027 schedule, so the dates below are expected months based on the 2026 cycle. In 2026 online forms opened on 15 January and the exam was held on 8 June 2026.

How to Apply for Uttarakhand Polytechnic (JEEP) 2027
You can apply online on the UBTER JEEP portal or on a printed OMR form sold at government and government-aided polytechnics in Uttarakhand. The 2027 form is expected to open in January 2027; the steps below follow the 2026 brochure.
Apply Online for Uttarakhand JEEP 2027
Applications for Uttarakhand JEEP 2027 are expected in January 2027.
- Open the UBTER website and follow the JEEP 2027 online application link when it goes live. The brochure names http://www.ubterjeep.co.in as the application portal.
- Read the information brochure and check the minimum qualification for your group (E/T, P or A).
- Click ‘Register Now’ under Online Application and fill in your details, including your reservation category and sub-category and your choice of exam city.
- Pay the fee by net banking, debit card or credit card.
- Upload your photograph and signature and finish the remaining details. The form is complete only after this step.
- Print the submitted form and keep it safe. You do not need to send it to UBTER.
In 2026 offline OMR forms were sold at government and government-aided polytechnics from 2 February to 15 April 2026. You hand in the filled form at the same institute, or send it by registered post to the Joint Secretary, IRDT, Upper Aamwala, Dehradun-248001. News sites reported that the 2026 online deadline was later extended to 15 May 2026.
To sit for more than one group, you must apply and pay separately for each. No entry, including category, exam city or eligibility details, can be changed after you submit the form.

The fee covers the exam fee, the counselling fee and GST. UBTER will confirm the 2027 amount in the new brochure.
Who can apply for Uttarakhand Polytechnic (JEEP) 2027?
Eligibility depends on the course group you apply for, and there is no age limit. The 2026 brochure sets these minimum qualifications:

You must have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised institution in Uttarakhand, or be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand who passed it in another state. SC, ST, OBC and EWS reservation is only for Uttarakhand residents, and courses at women’s polytechnics are open only to women. Before admission you must show a fitness certificate from a government hospital.
Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Modern Office Management and Secretarial Practice, and the PG Diploma in Computer Application are filled on merit of the qualifying exam, without JEEP.
What is the Uttarakhand Polytechnic (JEEP) 2027 exam pattern?
JEEP has a separate paper for each group, set from the syllabus of that group’s minimum qualification. The UBTER brochure gives the share of questions from each subject:

The brochure does not state the number of questions, the marks or any negative marking, and news sites give different figures, so check the 2027 brochure for these. Papers for different groups run in morning and evening shifts, sometimes on the next day. See the JEEP 2027 syllabus for topics.
The exam is held in 13 cities: Haridwar, Dehradun, New Tehri, Uttarkashi, Srinagar (Pauri), Gauchar (Chamoli), Rudraprayag, Kashipur, Haldwani, Almora, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Lohaghat (Champawat).
How are polytechnic seats allotted after JEEP 2027?
UBTER allots seats through online counselling held after the result, using your JEEP rank, category and choices. Counselling dates are published in newspapers and on the UBTER website, and no call letter is sent. In 2026 round 1 registration began on 18 June, followed by a second round and a spot round.
Seats in Uttarakhand polytechnics are reserved as below (2026 brochure). NCC A, B or C certificate holders get 1, 2 or 3 percent added to their marks.

A JEEP selection is valid only for that year’s session. Private polytechnics charge a provisional fee of Rs 35,000 a year for engineering diplomas and Rs 45,000 a year for D.Pharm, as listed in the 2026 brochure.
