How to Apply for VTUEEE 2027
You can apply online on Vel Tech’s application portal, which is open now for 2027, or offline with a demand draft or at a Vel Tech regional office. The online steps are below.
Apply Online for VTUEEE 2027
The VTUEEE 2027 application dates have not been announced yet.
- Open the VTUEEE 2027 application portal and register with your name, email ID, mobile number, state, city and a password. Verify your mobile number with the OTP.
- Check your email: Vel Tech sends your application number, password and the link to complete the form to your registered email ID.
- Keep a colour passport-size photograph and your signature ready. Each upload is limited to 100 KB.
- Log in, fill in the form and choose B.Tech and your specialisation.
- Pay the Rs 950 fee online by net banking, credit card, debit card or Paytm wallet.
- Download the filled application form or payment receipt. Vel Tech sends all later messages to your registered email ID.

To apply offline, send a demand draft for Rs 950 in favour of “Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology”, payable at Chennai, to The Head Admissions with a letter giving your full address. You can also buy the form for cash at a Vel Tech regional office or hand in the DD at the Avadi campus.
To log in later, use your registered email ID and password, or the Login via OTP option. If you forget the password, the Forgot Password link asks for your registered email ID and sends an OTP to your email and mobile number.
Who can apply for VTUEEE 2027?
You can apply if you have passed, or are appearing in, Class 12 or an equivalent exam as on March 2027 and have at least 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry (MPC).
- Accepted qualifying exams: Class 12 of any State Board, CBSE, CISCE or NIOS; Intermediate or two-year Pre-University from a recognised board or university; or the Cambridge High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum marks: 60% in MPC in the Class 12 or equivalent final exam, for B.Tech 2027.
- Admission is cancelled if a candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria. Refunds follow UGC norms.
- Lateral entry to the third semester is a separate route for Tamil Nadu (or equivalent) engineering diploma holders in the matching branch and for B.Sc graduates who studied Mathematics in Class 12.
What is the VTUEEE 2027 exam pattern and syllabus?
VTUEEE tests Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the Class 12 level. Vel Tech lists the test as a paper and pencil test (PPT) or computer-based test (CBT), depending on the centre.
- Each phase runs over two days. Your exam centre and time slot are printed on your hall ticket.
- The latest syllabus PDFs on Vel Tech’s admissions page are for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and are still labelled VTUEEE 2019.
- Vel Tech’s admissions page does not give the number of questions, total marks, duration or negative marking for 2027. Follow the instructions on your hall ticket.
The centre list on the official page has 86 cities across India, but it is still titled for 2026, so check the cities offered in the 2027 form.
Is there a way into B.Tech at Vel Tech without VTUEEE?
Yes. Vel Tech’s admissions page lists a direct admission route with no entrance test, in which a candidate can block a seat by paying Rs 10,000, and a lateral entry route for diploma and B.Sc holders.
