BCECE LE 2027 (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, Lateral Entry) is the state test BCECEB holds for diploma and B.Sc holders who want direct admission to the second year of B.Tech, B.Pharm and para medical degree courses in Bihar. BCECE LE 2027 Important Dates
BCECEB has not announced the BCECE LE 2027 schedule yet, so the dates below are expected from the 2026 cycle. In 2026 the advertisement came out on 7 April and the exam was held on 31 May.

How to Apply for BCECE LE 2027
You apply online through the “Online Portal of BCECE(LE)” link on bceceboard.bihar.gov.in once the 2027 advertisement is out, expected in April 2027. The same portal is used for the engineering, para medical and pharmacy groups. In 2026 the form was open from 9 April to 13 May after two extensions.
Apply Online for BCECE LE 2027
Applications for BCECE LE 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Open bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, click the “Online Portal of BCECE(LE)” link and then “New Registration”.
- Register with a mobile number and email ID, verify them with the code sent to you, and note your Registration Number and password.
- Sign in with your Registration Number and password and fill in your personal information, contact details and educational information.
- Upload a colour passport-size photo taken holding a placard with your name and the date, your signature in Hindi and English, and a live photo.
- Check the preview, accept the declaration and click “Final Submit & Proceed to Payment”.
- Pay the fee online by credit card, debit card, UPI or net banking, then download and print the confirmation page and fee receipt.

The bank’s processing charge is extra and the fee is not refunded. Keep the confirmation page safe, because you must bring it to counselling. After the last date BCECEB opens a short editing window (14 May in 2026) to correct the form.
Who can apply for BCECE LE 2027?
You can apply if you hold the diploma or degree that matches the course group you want. The rules below are from the 2026 prospectus and are expected to stay the same for 2027.

Final-year diploma students may apply but must pass before counselling. You must be an Indian citizen and meet one of the Bihar residence conditions in the prospectus, such as parents being natives of Bihar. Hotel technology, pharmacy and architecture diploma holders can only take the same branch in engineering.
What is the BCECE LE 2027 exam pattern?
BCECE LE is an offline exam with an OMR answer sheet and three sections for each course group. Only the first two sections count for the merit list.

You need at least 35 marks in English to qualify, but English marks are not added to your merit. Questions are in English and Hindi, except the English paper. See the BCECE LE syllabus for the topics in each section.
How many seats does BCECE LE fill?
BCECE LE fills supernumerary (10% of intake) and vacant second-year seats. The 2026 prospectus listed these seats; the 2027 numbers will come with the next prospectus.
