The CUET PG 2027 syllabus is set paper by paper. NTA publishes a separate syllabus for each test paper code on exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg. In 2026 there were 157 papers in six groups, each with 75 questions for 300 marks. The 2027 exam is tentatively scheduled for 1 to 25 March 2027.

What is the CUET PG 2027 syllabus?
The CUET PG syllabus is the topic list for each test paper, broadly at Bachelor’s degree level in that subject. You study only the syllabus of the paper codes you choose, which must match the programmes you want at your universities.

Which CUET PG paper should you choose?
Choose the paper code that your target university maps to the programme you want. Universities publish this programme-to-paper mapping, and NTA links it on the CUET PG website.
- MA in a subject usually needs that subject’s humanities or language paper, for example HUQP09 History or LAQP01 English.
- MSc programmes use science papers such as SCQP08 Chemistry or SCQP24 Physics.
- In 2026 the management paper was COQP12 General – Management.
- LLM uses COQP14, and M.Ed. uses COQP15.
- You can choose up to four papers, so you can cover programmes at more than one university.
What is the CUET PG 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
Every CUET PG paper has 75 questions for 300 marks in 90 minutes, with 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer. This is the 2026 pattern.

If a question has more than one correct option, marks go to those who chose any correct option. If a question is dropped, everyone who appeared gets 4 marks.

How to Prepare for the CUET PG 2027 Syllabus
Start from your Bachelor’s degree textbooks, since most questions test degree-level concepts in your subject.
- Mark the topics in the official syllabus that you did not study in your degree, and cover them first.
- Solve CUET PG previous year question papers for your subject to see how questions are framed.
- Practise full papers in 90 minutes; 75 questions leave little more than a minute per question.
- Skip questions you are unsure of, since each wrong answer costs 1 mark.
