DOST 2027 (Degree Online Services, Telangana) is the online admission process for BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA and other undergraduate courses in colleges of Telangana’s state universities for 2027-28. TGCHE runs it with the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education. There is no entrance test: seats go on Intermediate merit, and registration is expected from April 2027.

Is DOST an entrance exam?
No. DOST is a single online window for degree admission, not a test. You register, fill one application, choose colleges and courses as web options, and seats are allotted on merit and the reservation rules of the Government of Telangana.
One registration covers the colleges and courses of all participating universities, so you do not apply to each college separately. Merit is based on your Intermediate marks.
DOST 2027 Important Dates
DOST 2027 dates are not announced yet. In 2026 the notification came on 13 April 2026, soon after the Intermediate results, so the 2027-28 notification and Phase I registration are expected in April 2027.

How to Apply for DOST 2027
You apply for DOST 2027 online at dost.cgg.gov.in in three steps: generate a DOST ID, pay the registration fee to get a PIN, then log in with the DOST ID and PIN to fill the application and web options. The registration link opens with the notification, expected in April 2027.
Apply Online for DOST 2027
Applications for DOST 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Generate your DOST ID through Candidate Pre-Registration: on the website with Aadhaar-linked mobile OTP, through the DOST mobile app with face recognition (TGBIE students only), or at a MeeSeva centre with biometric authentication.
- Pay the registration fee online (UPI, debit or credit card, net banking or T-Wallet). The PIN is sent to your registered mobile number.
- Log in with your DOST ID and PIN through Candidate Login (Application and Web Options).
- Fill the application form, including the MeeSeva numbers of your caste and income certificates, and submit it. Take a printout.
- Exercise web options: list the colleges and courses you want in order of priority and submit them before the deadline.
- If you claim a special category (PH, CAP, NCC, sports or extra-curricular), or studied under another board, get your certificates verified at a Help Line Centre on the scheduled date.

The registration fee is not refundable. 2027-28 fees will be confirmed in the DOST 2027 notification.
Who can apply through DOST 2027?
You can apply if you have passed Intermediate from the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) or an equivalent recognised board.
- Students who passed Intermediate in compartmental (supplementary) exams are eligible.
- Polytechnic diploma holders are eligible only if the diploma is from the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Telangana.
- Students from other states can apply. Their board must be on the DOST list of eligibility boards, and they must get certificates verified at a Help Line Centre before web options.
- Aadhaar is mandatory, and you need an active mobile number. Your name, gender and date of birth in Aadhaar should match your SSC records.

How are DOST 2027 seats allotted?
DOST allots seats phase by phase, using your merit, the reservation rules and the priority order of your web options. You can give any number of options and edit them until you submit.
- Phase I: register, give web options and get the first allotment.
- If you are happy with the seat, confirm it by online self-reporting and paying the confirmation fee.
- If you want a better seat, pay the seat reservation fee online and take part in Phase II and Phase III web options.
- After the last main phase, report in person at the allotted college with your certificates and pay the course fee. If you do not, the seat is cancelled.
- Vacant seats are filled later through a special phase, a special drive phase and spot admissions at colleges.

Which universities and courses does DOST cover?
DOST covers undergraduate admission in colleges affiliated to these universities and boards (2026-27 list):
- Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Palamuru University and Satavahana University
- Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University
- Dr. Manmohan Singh Earth Sciences University
- JNTU
- SBTET Telangana polytechnics (D-Pharmacy only)
Courses include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Com (Vocational), B.Com (Honours), BSW, BBA, BBM and BCA, with many subject combinations and apprenticeship-embedded degree programmes. From 2026-27, admission to 5-year integrated UG-PG programmes of state universities is also done through DOST.
What documents do you need for DOST 2027?
Keep these ready before you register. Reservation and special-category seats need the certificates listed.
- Aadhaar linked to your own or a parent’s mobile number
- SSC and Intermediate (or equivalent) marks memos
- MeeSeva caste or EWS certificate number, issued by the Government of Telangana, for a reserved seat
- A recent income certificate (DOST 2026-27 asked for one issued on or after 1 April 2025)
- NCC, extra-curricular, sports, PH or CAP certificate, if you claim that category
- Transfer certificate and study certificates, for reporting at the college
