Goa Diploma Admissions 2022 Merit List Preparation Guidelines
The basis for preparing the merit list for admissions to different courses shall be as under:
Engineering /Technology:
- The candidate with higher marks in aggregate in academic subjects at SSC (Std. Xth) or equivalent examination shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case two applicants have equal qualifying marks at SSC, the candidate with higher marks in the subject of Mathematics shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case the marks in Mathematics are also equal, the applicant with higher aggregate marks in Science shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- If conditions at (1), (2) & (3) above are also found equal, then the applicant with higher marks in the subject of English will be placed higher in the order of merit.
MOP & HMCT:
- The candidate with higher marks in aggregate in acedmic subjects at HSSC (Science/Commerce/Arts/ Vocational) or equivalent examination shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case two applicants have equal qualifying marks at HSSC(Science/Commerce/ Arts/Vocational), the candidate with higher marks in the subject of English at HSSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- Incase the marks in English are also equal, the applicant with higher aggregate marks in SSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- If conditions at (1), (2) & (3) above are also found equal, then the applicant with higher marks in the subject of English at SSC will be placed higher in the order of merit.
D. Pharm:
- The candidate with higher marks in total of the subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics taken at HSSC (Science) or equivalent shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case two applicants have equal marks at HSSC (Science) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology, candidate with higher marks in the subject of Mathematics /Biology at HSSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case the marks in Mathematics /Biology at HSSC are also equal, the applicant with higher aggregate marks in HSSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- If conditions at (1), (2) & (3) above are also found equal then, the applicant with higher marks in the subject of English at HSSC will be placed higher in the order of merit.
HSSC(Science) for Direct Second Year Admissions:
- The candidates with higher marks in aggregate in academic subjects at HSSC (Science), shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case two applicants have equal qualifying marks, the candidates with higher marks in the subjet of Mathematics at HSSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case the marks in Mathematics at HSSC are also equal, the applicant with higher aggregate mark at SSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- If conditions at (1), (2) & (3) above are also found equal, then the applicant with higher marks in the subject of English at SSC will be placed higher in the order of merit.
HSSC Vocational & ITI for Direct Second year Admissions
- The candidate with higher marks in aggregate at HSSC (Vocational)/ITI, as the case may be, shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case two applicants have equal qualifying marks, the candidate with higher marks in the subject of Mathematics at SSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
- In case the marks in Mathematics at SSC are also equal, the applicant with higher aggregate mark in Science at SSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit
- If conditions at (1), (2) & (3) above are also found equal then the applicant with higher marks in the subject of English at SSC will be placed higher in the order of merit.
If all the conditions at (i), (II), (III) and (IV) are found equal, then applicant with the earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the merit list.
While computing inter-se merit additional marks as given below shall be awarded:
Applicants who have represented the country in a recognised sport or game at an International event, at least once during the period of Std. IX / X or XI/XII as applicable. | 15 marks |
Applicants who have represented the State of Goa in a recognised sport or game at a National event, at least once during the period of Std. IX / X or XI/XII as applicable. | 10 marks |
Applicants who have represented the State of Goa as N.C.C. Cadets at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi during the academic year of Std. IX / X or XI/XII as applicable. | 10 marks |
Applicants who have passed ‘B’ / ‘C’ certificate of NCC during Std IX / X or XI/XII as applicable. | 5 marks |
Applicant who has been awarded Best N.C.C. cadet in India | 15 marks |
Applicants who received National Bravery Award. | 10 marks |
Applicants who received State Bravery Award. | 5 marks |
However, the total additional marks that may be added to any one applicant on account shall not exceed 15 (Fifteen) marks. The additional marks for extra-curricular achievements shall not be added to become eligible. However, once eligible, additional marks shall be computed towards position in order of merit.
