How to Check the Goa Polytechnic Merit List 2027
You check the merit list as a public PDF on the DTE Goa website. No login or password is needed, and the list is also displayed at DTE, Porvorim.
- Open the DTE Goa Diploma Admission Lists page (dte.goa.gov.in, then Admission, then Diploma Admission Lists).
- Click the merit list for first and second year diploma courses. Hotel Management has its own eligibility-cum-merit list.
- Go to your course and category. Each category has its own list, and you appear in every category you applied for.
- Find your registration number (Form F or Form S) and note your merit number in each category.
- Read the remarks column. It names any document you still have to submit, such as a residence, income or caste certificate.
- Read the instructions at the start of the PDF. They give the round dates and the reporting time for your merit number.
Do not confuse this with diploma semester exam results. Those are published by the Board of Technical Education on the results section of the same website.
What does the Goa Polytechnic merit list show?
DTE Goa does not issue an individual scorecard or rank card. The merit list itself shows your position and the marks it is based on.
What if my name or marks are wrong in the Goa diploma merit list?
Report it in writing to the Diploma Admission Committee at DTE, Porvorim before the deadline printed in the list. In 2026 the eligibility list asked for discrepancies and pending documents by 12 noon on 26 May 2026.
- If your SSC or HSSC result was not declared, or you did not submit your mark sheet, you are marked NE and left out of the merit list until you produce the passed result.
- If your marks change after re-verification, submit the revised mark sheet by the due date. Revised marks count only from then on.
- Applicants listed as General must show a residence or bonafide certificate to keep their General merit position; otherwise they move to the LA category.
How are seats allotted after the Goa diploma merit list?
There is no online seat allotment. Seats are given in person at DTE, Porvorim in order of merit, on the dates set out with the merit list. In 2026 the first round ran from 1 to 5 June 2026, starting with Pharmacy and direct second year groups and ending with LA, OGA, late and spot applicants on 5 June.
- Report half an hour before your slot with your Acknowledgement cum Admission Card, original documents and fees.
- Choose a course and institute from the seats left when your merit number is called. General category seats are offered before SC, ST and OBC seats.
- Pay the fees the same day and collect the Admission Card.
- Report to the allotted institute within three working days and register with the Board of Technical Education within ten working days.
You stay on the merit list for the second and any additional round, even if you took a seat earlier, and can move to a better seat. The full rules, fees and seat matrix are on the Goa Polytechnic Admission 2027 page.
Is there a cut off for Goa Polytechnic admission?
DTE Goa does not publish closing merit numbers or cut-off marks. The only fixed bar is the minimum of 35% aggregate in the qualifying exam; beyond that, whether you get a course depends on the seats left in your category when your merit number is called.
