The GU-ART 2027 result will be published by Goa University as programme-wise provisional rank lists on its Samarth admission portal. Round I rank lists are expected in April 2027, as lists came from 20 April in 2026. Your rank decides PG or B.Ed. seat allotment and counselling.

This page explains how to check the GU-ART 2027 rank list, what it shows and how seats are allotted after it.
How to Check the GU-ART 2027 Result
- Open Goa University’s Samarth admission portal for 2027-28 once the results are announced (in 2026 it was unigoaadmission.samarth.edu.in/2026).
- Go to the Notifications page of the portal.
- Find the rank list for your programme, for example “Rank List of Master of Science in Physics (Goa University)”. Other-university candidates have separate lists.
- Open the document and search for your roll number or name.
- Note your rank and category, then watch for the counselling notice or the selected list for your programme.
Goa University also posts round-wise rank lists and selected lists on its admission news page, so check both. There is no separate result sent to you; you have to check the lists yourself.
What does the GU-ART rank list show?
Each programme has its own provisional rank list for every round. It shows your roll number, name, category and rank, but not your marks.
Is there a GU-ART cut off or qualifying mark?
No. GU-ART only ranks candidates, so there are no qualifying marks, and the admission notifications give no cut-off marks. For MCA, M.Sc. AI and M.Sc. Data Science the notification says the rank list is made with no cut-off percentage. How far down a list seats go depends on the seats and on how many higher-ranked candidates confirm.
How are seats allotted after the GU-ART 2027 result?
The method depends on where a programme is offered.
- Programmes offered at only one place: seats are allotted on rank and reservation, with no counselling, and a selected list is published.
- Programmes offered at the university and colleges, or at several colleges: seats are allotted in physical counselling at the Goa University campus. In 2026 this covered M.A. Hindi, Konkani, Marathi, English, Economics and Psychology, M.Sc. Microbiology, Chemistry and Mathematics, M.Com, LLM, and MCA with M.Sc. AI and Data Science.
- You must be present when your name is called. If you are absent, the seat goes to the next rank; if you arrive late, you get only the seats still left.
- Candidates from other universities send their preferences online and need not attend physical counselling.
- B.Ed. seats at affiliated colleges are allotted in counselling by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa.
Seats follow the Goa State reservation policy. Reserved seats left vacant after the first provisional list of Round I move to the unreserved category.

What happens after you get a GU-ART seat?
- Pay the seat confirmation fee of Rs 10,000 online on Samarth by the notified date, or you lose the seat.
- Carry a government ID or college ID card and your valid category certificate to counselling; without the certificate you are treated as unreserved.
- After your degree result, submit documents for verification and pay the balance fee to enrol.
- If you get a better seat in a later round, your seat confirmation fee is transferred to the new programme or institution.
The seat confirmation fee is refunded if you withdraw within 30 days of the last date of admission, or within 60 days if you fail your degree exam. Programme fees and dates are on the GU-ART 2027 main page.
