How to check the HPU B.Tech 2027 result?
- Open hpuniv.ac.in and look for the UIT B.Tech result or merit list notice.
- Open the merit list PDF, or log in to your application account if HPU gives the result there.
- Find your name or roll number and note your marks and merit position.
- Check the counselling schedule released with or after the merit list.
HPU puts all counselling dates and eligible lists only on its website, so check it often after the test.
What does the HPU B.Tech result show?
The result shows your marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and your total, and your position in the merit list. Marks below follow the latest published pattern.
How is the HPU B.Tech merit list prepared?
HPU ranks candidates on total entrance marks in one combined merit list for all branches, then fills seats by rank and branch preference.
- Separate merit lists are made for Himachali candidates (10+2 from schools in Himachal Pradesh) and All India candidates; 60% of seats go to the Himachali list.
- SC, ST and physically challenged candidates get 15%, 7.5% and 5% of seats, under HPU’s 120-point roster.
- Ties go to higher Mathematics marks, then higher Physics marks, then the younger candidate.
- No closing marks or cut offs for 2026 are available on the HPU website.
What happens after the HPU B.Tech 2027 result?
Candidates on the merit list take part in counselling for seats at UIT. Counselling is expected in July 2027. In 2026 it worked like this:
- Online counselling sessions over Google Meet from 2 July 2026, with the online counselling form due by 6 July.
- The first eligible list on 11 July 2026; selected candidates paid the fee within two days.
- Further merit lists until August 2026 for seats left vacant.
- An open round for vacant seats from 1 to 3 August 2026.
