 ICET Question Paper 2014 (Solved)

The ICET 2014 paper has 200 questions of 1 mark each. Each question is a multiple choice with single answer correct type.

Section A – Analytical Ability

Data Sufficiency questions

In the questions numberes 1 to 20, a question is followed by data in the form of two statements labelled as I and II. You must decide whether the data given in the statements are sufficient to answer the questions. Using the data make an appropriate choice from (1) to (4) as per the following guidelines.

(a) Mark choice (1) if the statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question.
(b) Mark choice (2) if the statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question.
(c) Mark choice (3) if both the statements I and II are sufficient to answer the question but neither statement alone is sufficient.
(d) Mark choice (4) if both the statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question and additional data is required.

Problem Solving

Sequences and Series

In each of the questions numbered 21 to 30, a sequence of numbers and letters that follow a definite pattern is given. Each question has a blank space. This blank space is to be filled by the correct answer from one of the four given options to complete the sequence qithout breaking the pattern.

In questions 31 to 35 pick the odd thing out.

In each of the questions from 36 to 45 follow a definite patter. Observe the same and fill in the blank with suitable answers.

Data Analysis

An automobile company produces four types of vehicles at different branches in the country. The production at these units from 2007 to 2012 are given in the table. Answer the questions 46 to 48 using the table.

The expenditure under six heads in a year are given in a pie chart. Answer the questions 49 – 53 using the diagram.

Given A, B, C belonging prime, odd, square sets; answer questions 54 and 55.

Coding and Decoding Problems

A given coding pattern is given for alphabets. Answer questions 56 – 60 using this pattern.

For each of the questions 61 to 65, different examples have been given for coding, identify the pattern in each and answer the questions.
