Result of NEET 2017 forms the basis for admission to MBBS/BDS in colleges across India. There will be one centralized counselling for 15% All India Quota. States and some institutions will hold counselling for rest of the seats. Candidates who have appeared in National Eligibility Entrance Test and also qualified in it with minimum percentile cut off marks, can participate in NEET 2017 Counselling and get MBBS/BDS Admission Through NEET 2017. One needs to apply for such counselling (15% AIQ, state, institute) where he/she wishes to get a medical/dental seat. MBBS / BDS Admission through NEET in Private medical colleges in India

The admission in many private / self financed medical colleges in India is done on basis of NEET AIR. The list of such colleges is being updated here shortly.

  • After the declaration of results of NEET, candidates know their all India ranks, state ranks, and quota / category ranks. The central counselling conducted by MCC will entitle the candidate to 15% all India seats. Through this, each candidate can apply to 15% seats in all states.
  • The rest of the seats are filled by each state medical body or university / college administration through separate MBBS counselling.
  • The details of MBBS admission counselling are announced by the respective college / university / state.
  • To participate in the MBBS / BDS counselling , it is necessary for the candidate to apply and select preferences among the seats.
  • According to rank as given in the NEET rank card, candidate is allotted seats in various medical colleges in India.

  3. Applied for neet. Not mentioned for state quota separately. Now, am i elegiblle for both 15% and state quota?
    If not what I have to do now for applying both?
