National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2018 or NEET UG 2018 entrance exam is held by the Central Board of Higher Secondary (CBSE), for admission to MBBS / BDS courses. As per the minutes of the meeting held in the Ministry of Health & F.W. on conduct of NEET 2018, Medical Counselling and completion of admission process it has been decided that NEET UG 2018 is to be conducted on or before 10th May 2018. CBSE is all set to conduct the NEET UG 2018 exam in the month of May 2018. Interested candidates can apply for CBSE NEET 2018 from January. The admit cards will be available by the month of April 2018. OMR sheets and Answer keys will be shown at the official website of NEET UG 2018 within a short span of time post examination.

NEET 2018 Exam Date is expected to be 06 May 2018, result of the same will be announced in first week of June 2018.

NEET 2018 is held for All India Quota seats (15%) in all Medical / Dental colleges in India under Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India with the approval from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (UoMHFW), Government of India (GOI). There are institutions like AIIMS and JIPMER which are exceptions and doesn’t accept CBSE NEET as their entrance exam. For admission to these institutions you have to appear for their own entrance exams.

NEET 2018 Exam

In India NEET UG is largest medical entrance exam for MBBS / BDS admission into medical and dental colleges. The colleges do not conduct their own medical entrance exam. Last year 11,38,890 candidates registered for CBSE NEET. The number of registered candidates has increased by 70.58% and 139.37% compared to NEET I 2016 and NEET II 2016 respectively. This examination was conducted in 10 languages across 103 cities and 1921 examination centers around the country.

Candidates can apply for NEET UG 2018 online on to the official website of CBSE NEET www.cbseneet.nic.in. Candidate should make sure that all the information they provide in NEET 2018 Application Form is true with correct spellings. Application Fee can be paid using Debit / Credit Card, Net Banking or Payment Wallet. Generation of confirmation page confirms the correctness and final submission of application form. NEET 2018 Age Limit

Candidates should be of 17 year old on or before 31st Dec 2018. However till now there was no upper age limit for appearing in NEET examination till now. Still there is no update on NEET Age Limit criteria and its unlikely to be implemented for NEET 2018. However it will be confirmed only once CBSE announce NEET 2018 Notification.

NEET 2018 Attempt Limit

A candidate can attempt CBSE NEET for at most 3 times. Appearance in NEET 2017 was considered as the first ever NEET.

NEET 2018 Admit Card

The CBSE will allow the downloading of NEET (UG) on the Board’s website along with a format for affixing of Postcard size photograph. Candidates need to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions provided over there. The Admit cards won’t be sent to the candidates by post. While downloading the admit card, a copy of the same PDF format will be sent to the candidates via email on their registered email ID.

NEET 2018 Result

As soon as the answer sheets are evaluated CBSE displays the Answer Key and OMR sheet of individuals and open challenge submission. Once this process is complete NEET Result 2018 is announced. NEET UG Result 2018 consist of the marks scored in the examination. Thereafter Merit List of the eligible and successful applicants is prepared by the CBSE and forwarded to the MCI and states for Online Counselling.

NEET 2018 Counselling

Online counseling will be held by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services for 15% all India quota seats. Applicants willing to apply for admission in State Medical Colleges/ Universities/ Institutions using merit list of NEET  2018 must follow the instructions of the State Government and / or authorities of the medical/ dental colleges/Institution/University concerned for counseling.
