National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) is held for admission to MBBS / BDS undergraduate level courses. NEET UG will be conducted as per the guidelines released by the NTA, it will be an offline pen and paper based test. NEET is held for All India Quota seats (15%) in all Medical / Dental colleges in India under Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India with the approval from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (UoMHFW), Government of India (GOI). There are institutions like AIIMS and JIPMER which are exceptions and doesn’t accept NEET UG as their entrance exam. About NEET UG Exam
In India, NEET UG is the largest medical entrance exam for MBBS / BDS admission into medical and dental colleges which will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The colleges do not conduct their own medical entrance exam. Thus, all colleges accept students based on NEET UG Score (except AIIMS & JIPMER). There will be 8 different sittings for the exam, and interested candidates need to choose any one from them for the NEET exams. The total number of seats offered is 53,430.

MHRD announced that NEET 2019 will be conducted by NTA, twice a year, in computer-based test mode, however, it is now going to be conducted once a year and in offline mode. Exam dates were announced. NEET UG 2019 (February) exam dates are supposed to be 03-17 Feb; NEET UG 2019 (May) exam dates are supposed to be 12-26 May. Syllabus shall remain same. Admission will be on basis of best score out of Feb and May NTA NEET exam 2019.
