Some of the news stories on NEET 2017 that have been seen lately have been about paper leak, date of release of answer key, anti cheating guidelines.

CBSE has released a clarification regarding the Kannur incident where a female student was asked to remove her innerwear. The clarification states that the incident was unfortunate and due to overzealous female frisking staff. The board has informed that it would sensitize its staff in future to avoid such incidents and has asked the school Principal to tender an unconditional apology to the student.

The biggest news story as of now is that 9 students from Madurai have filed a joint writ petition in Madras High Court Bench seeking a direction to Centre to cancel NEET 2017 that was conducted on 7th May 2017. The basis of their argument is that the exam framed in other languages were different from the one in English and thus students did not get a fair treatment. Newspapers have reported that CBSE has been ordered notice returnable by a week however an interim injunction has not been imposed.

That students appeared in the exam are confused over the fate of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is apparent over social media. Some want a re-exam, while many others do not. It is understandable that medical entrance exams are tough in nature, and on top of it this sort of confusion is enough to make any teenager nervous.

Amid all this chaos, CBSE is set to release the NEET 2017 official answer key at cbseneet.nic.in. While there is no fixed date for it, it is anticipated that the answer key will be available in the last week of May. This brings the candidates closer to the results. Officially, date on which result will be announced is 8th June 2017.

Candidates are requested to not believe in rumors or false news straight away. CBSE regularly updates its official websites cbseneet.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, and if there is any news it wishes to convey about answer key, result, re-exam (if any!), then it will be updated on the official websites. Until then, focus on the remaining medical entrance exams AIIMS 2017 which is on 28th May 2017 and JIPMER 2017 that is on 4th June 2017.
