NEET 2022 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of NEET 2022 is as follows.

Optional Questions – Section B will have 15 Questions, out of these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions.
Marking Scheme (Both Sections)
- Candidates get 4 for correct answer.
- The negative marking is 1 for incorrect answer.
Other aspects of the exam are as follows.
- Mode: NTA will hold the National Eligibility Entrance Test as Offline (Pen and Paper Based) Exam.
- Duration: The exam will be of 3 hours 20 minutes.
- Type of questions: The questions in the question paper will be as follows – MCQ.
- Language of question paper: The NEET question paper 2022 will be in these languages – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Punjabi.
NEET 2022 Syllabus
The NTA releases the syllabus of National Eligibility Entrance Test. It contains all the topics from which questions will be asked in the Medical exam. The NEET syllabus is as follows.
NMC (National Medical Commission) has notified the syllabus of NEET (UG) – 2022. The Question Paper will be based on the given syllabus (Appendix-IV) which is available on the NMC website (https://www.nmc.org.in/neet/neet-ug). Furthermore, to rationalize the decision of reduction in the syllabus by various School Education Boards, the NTA has taken a decision to provide choice in Section “B” for each of the 4 (four) Subjects.
NEET 2022 Admit Card
The admit card of NEET 2022 is issued by National Testing Agency for those who have submitted application form.
Release Date – The release date of NEET admit card 2022 is as per decision of NTA. Please refer the dates at neet.nta.nic.in.

How to download NEET admit card 2022? – In order to download the admit card of National Eligibility Entrance Test, candidates need to access the NEET 2022 login. Then login with the login credentials.
NEET 2022 Dress Code
The candidates are instructed to follow the following dress code while appearing for NEET UG 2022:
- Light clothes with long sleeves are not permitted. However in case, candidates come in cultural/ customary dress at the Examination Centre, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time i.e. 12.30 pm so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
- Slippers, sandals with low heels are permitted. Shoes are not permitted.
- In case of any deviation required due to unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, specific approval of NTA must be taken before the Admit Cards are issued.
It is desired that the candidates follow instructions issued by the NTA strictly. This will help NTA in the fair conduct of the examination.
NEET 2022 Answer Key
After the exam, students seek out the NEET answer key. Using this, one can calculate marks scored in the National Eligibility Entrance Test exam and predict their result.
Unofficial Answer Key – Many Medical entrance exam coaching centers release unofficial answer keys of NEET exam just after the exam. Candidates can check them on the same day.
NEET 2022 Official Answer Key – NTA releases the official answer key of NEET 2022 at its discretion. Candidates can download the same from neet.nta.nic.in.
NEET 2022 OMR Sheet
- After the conduct of the examination, NTA will display the scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets and recorded responses by the machine, of all candidates on the website (neet.nta.nic.in).
- Challenge OMR Sheet – Applicants will be given an opportunity to submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per question challenged.
- Representations made by the candidates against the OMR grading will be verified by the NTA from the actual record and the same will be updated in the data if challenges are found to be correct. However, no intimation in this regard will be sent to an individual candidate.
- Applicants are advised to visit the website neet.nta.nic.in for viewing and downloading the image of the OMR Answer Sheet by the candidates.
NEET 2022 Result
The result of NEET 2022 is declared by the National Testing Agency as per the result date and time decided by them.

Qualifying Marks
- In order to be eligible for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses in case of General, General-EWS, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test to Undergraduate Medical Courses.
- However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile.
- In respect of candidates with Benchmark, Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks shall be at
- 45th percentile for Unreserved Category & GEN-EWS Category candidates
- 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates

How to check NEET 2022 result – Candidates need to go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in and click on the relevant NEET result / merit list 2022 link. Then, in case of NEET 2022 scorecard / rank, login with login id and password. If there is a NEET 2022 merit list pdf, one can simply download it.

How to apply?
In order to apply for NEET 2022, candidates must do the following:
- Go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
- Then do registration for the NEET exam.
- After that fill all personal, educational, contact details in the NEET 2022 application form.
- Also, upload documents such as photograph, signature in the NEET online application form.
- Finally, pay the application fee as prescribed by the National Testing Agency.

NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Students must check the eligibility criteria of NEET exam before applying. The important points for eligibility criteria are the following.
Educational qualification –
- Candidates can appear in this exam after Class 12th.
- Compulsory subjects in class 12 – Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, English.
- For subject combinations requirement and exact qualifying exams allowed, refer “Qualifications and Qualifying Examination Codes” section of the information brochure.
Minimum marks – They should have at least following marks : 50% for GEN, 40% for reserved categories.
Age limit – The age limit for NEET exam is as follows
- Lower age limit – 17 years as on 31 December of the year of admission. Therefore students born on or before 31.12. 2005 are eligible.
- Upper age limit – As per Letter No. U-11022/2/2022-UGMEB, dated 09 March 2022 received from National Medical Commission (NMC), Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) regarding the upper age limit, that there should be no upper age limit as decided in the fourth NMC meeting held on 21 October 2021.

dear, the cutoff and rank list fro NEET 2018 hasn’t been released till now. It’ll be releasing soon. So as of now i can give you an idea on the basis of previous year cutoff. since you are from tamil nadu you can get a seat from state quota as for all india seats the ranking for previous tear OBS candidates were good. So you do one thing do attend the counselling because the motive for sitting in counseling it to understand clearly the concept of seat and ranking procedure. So it’ll definitely going to help you.
