NEET previous year question papers from 2016 to 2026 are here as free PDFs, about 65 papers in all, with an answer key for every year and language versions in English, Hindi and up to 11 regional languages. Since 2025 a NEET UG paper has 180 compulsory questions for 720 marks in 3 hours, so the 2025 and 2026 papers match the NEET UG 2027 exam expected in May 2027 most closely.

How the NEET Paper Changed (2016–2026)
- Up to 2020: 180 compulsory questions in 3 hours, with no choice. The 2017 paper had 45 questions each in Physics and Chemistry and 90 in Biology. CBSE set the paper up to 2018 and NTA from 2019.
- 2021: each of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology got Section A (35 questions) and Section B (15 questions, answer any 10). That made 200 questions with 180 to attempt, still in 3 hours.
- 2022 to 2024: the same Section A and B pattern, with the time raised to 3 hours 20 minutes.
- 2025 onwards: Section B was dropped. All 180 questions are compulsory again and the time is back to 3 hours, which is 1 minute a question.
What a NEET Paper Looks Like
The newest paper here is Test Booklet Code 11 from the 3 May 2026 exam, which NTA later cancelled after a paper leak. Its cover says the test is of 3 hours with 180 multiple-choice questions, four options each with one correct answer, 4 marks for a correct response and one mark deducted for a wrong one, for 720 marks. Questions run in subject order without a choice section, and many are Match List I with List II or two-statement types.

The 3 May 2026 exam was cancelled and every candidate sat a re-exam on 21 June 2026. The re-exam papers (codes 50, 60, 70 and 80) are not on this page yet, but NTA’s final key for them is on the 2026 page.
How to Use NEET Previous Year Papers?
- Sit each paper for exactly 3 hours. That gives you 1 minute a question. Biology has 90 of the 180 questions, so a fast, accurate Biology half leaves more time for Physics numericals.
- Guess only when you can cut an option. At +4 and −1, a pure guess among four options averages +0.25 marks. Once you can rule out one option, the average rises to about +0.67.
- Start with 2026 and 2025, the two years with 180 compulsory questions. For the 2021 to 2024 papers, solve Section A and all 15 Section B questions of each subject for extra practice.
- Revise from your mistakes, not just your score. Match List and two-statement questions are common in recent papers. Note every one you get wrong and go back to the NCERT topic it came from.
- Plan for May 2027. With about six months left, one full paper a week gets you through every year from 2016 to 2026 before the exam, with time to repeat the last two.
