Has the NEET UG 2027 syllabus been released?
No. NMC’s Under Graduate Medical Education Board released the 2026 syllabus on 22 December 2025, so the 2027 syllabus is expected around December 2026. Until then, study from the 2026 syllabus below. Any change for 2027 will be added here.

What is the NEET UG Biology syllabus?
Biology has 10 units and carries half the paper: 90 questions and 360 of the 720 marks, split between Botany and Zoology.

How many questions come from each subject in NEET UG 2027?
Each subject has a fixed number of questions, and all 180 questions are compulsory. These are the figures from the latest (2026) bulletin.

How should you prepare the NEET UG 2027 syllabus?
- Start with the NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks for every unit listed above.
- Give Biology the most time, since it carries half the marks.
- Make short notes and formula sheets for Physics and Physical Chemistry as you finish each unit.
- After each unit, solve questions from NEET previous year question papers on the same topic.
- In the last three months, take full 180-question timed tests and review every mistake.
