The GGSIPU 2026-27 admission brochure, the latest, lists each paper’s sections and weightage, such as English, general awareness, reasoning and subject knowledge. Expect the 2027-28 brochure, due around January 2027, to confirm it.

What is in the IPU CET BBA, BMS, BA JMC and B.Com papers?
These four papers test English, general awareness and reasoning, plus one area linked to the course. Weightage as per the 2026-27 UG brochure:

What is the IPU CET 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
Each paper has 100 multiple-choice questions for 400 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes, with 4 marks for a correct answer and 1 mark deducted for a wrong one. In 2026 the tests were offline on OMR sheets, in English except B.Ed. The IPU CET 2027 page has the full pattern, eligibility and dates.
Where can I download the IPU CET syllabus PDF?
GGSIPU does not issue a separate syllabus PDF. The test sections are printed in chapter 2 (eligibility) of the UG and PG admission brochures, and the B.Des and LE B.Des topics are in chapter 3. The 2026-27 brochures are the latest until the 2027-28 brochures come out.

How should I prepare for IPU CET 2027?
- Find your programme’s CET code in the brochure and plan around its sections and weightage, not a generic list.
- Revise Class 12 concepts for subject sections such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology or economics.
- Read a newspaper daily for general awareness, which carries 10% to 25% in most papers.
- Practise timed sets of 100 questions in 150 minutes, and skip guesses you are unsure of, since each wrong answer costs 1 mark.
- Read the question paper and answer key GGSIPU uploads after each test, for the objection window, to understand the question style.
